Hi! Southwest has sent me a discount code (20% off!) for our next purchase. We want to use it for our next trip, but were planning on using rapid rewards points for our tickets. The text on the letter with the coupon code mentions "making your points go further" so it sounds like I can use the discount when purchasing with points. Anyone know if this is true??
Also, I have been postponing purchase of these tickets, awaiting the Anniversary sale. However, we will be traveling the second weekend in August (8th-11th). Will/have those dates traditionally been too early to be included in the sale? TIA
I WAS able to use the code for the points; in fact, it had me enter the code once I had logged into my RR account, before ever searching for flights. Also, it appears that the travel window for the anniversary sale typically won't start until late august, so I went ahead and booked. (didn't think I could google something like this!) It was 46200 points for three round-trip tickets from PWM to DAY I'm good with that! $30 covers the fees, and we'll check in online 24 hours in advance (unless I cave to the pressures of EBCI!)
