Hello,
Our family of 6 is flying sw to buffalo tomorrow. I checked in at exactly 24 hrs. We are on one reservation. We got A51, A52, A53, B53, B54 and B55! I can't believe we are 50 plus positions apart!

Anyway I haven't flown sw before. ..can I give the A boarding passes to my 13, 10 and 7 yr old, even though they say they are for me, DH and oldest dd? Does sw care who uses which one? I thought then I could board during family boarding with my 4 yr old using two of the B passes and only DH would be late.

My kids will be fine sitting alone except the 4 yr old who technically has the last boarding spot! Just wondering if a: they would let the kids board alone and b: let us use whichever boarding pass

Thanks!

That is really bizarre that the same reservation would be spread out your family like that!

SWA doesn't check I.D. at the gate (all that is done going through security) so they really shouldn't care who has which boarding pass in their hot little hand. Tho they might notice if a female passenger has a man's name on the boarding pass or vice versa.

I would send your 7-yr-old and the 10-yr-ahead with dear old dad as A-listers, then you board with your 4-yr-old. You can ask the gate agent if your 13-yr-old can board with you in family boarding, but if the gate agent is a real stickler, the 13-yr-old can bring up the rear with the B-listers.

I would be inclined to have one parent take the last B pass and go to the gate agent(showing all the passes) and ask if he/she could board together with the children that all have A's. The other parent can board in the family group...if they have one. If you can get 3 kids and a parent on together with the A's head right to the back of the plane and take a full row. Seating someone in each of the window and isle seats...leaving the middle open. Most likely the other 2 will make it back there to claim those seats.

Thanks for the advice! I boarded with my 13 and 10 yr old in A and my husband was able to do family boarding with the 7 and 4 year old. There were plenty of seats.

Thanks much! I bought ebci for the way home.

It's possible that someone who had A51, 52, 53 cancelled last minute and those became available.
