SW touring tips? How is the buffet with Shamu?

I know SW is about the shows but I am trying to minimize walking back and forth too much ...

We'll be going on a Monday when the park opens at 10 a.m. When should we be at the gates? 30 minutes early?

Do you tour in a particular direction? I was considering of heading right and going in a generally counter clockwise direction.

Are there rides that must be ridden first thing to avoid long lines?

Is there ever a wait to get into the exhibits? Which ones?

Anyone do the Dine with Shamu thing? I am certain we'll do this - my birthday boy will be so excited - just haven't decided which one, lunch or dinner. How is the food?

I think we're going to have difficulty negotiating this park and looking for anything helpful - thanks!

SeaWorld is not as big as I think you think it is.

There are only 2 rides, not including the 3 in the Sesame Street Bay of Play, which, while I haven't been on them yet, don't look like they are anything special.

Are you going in the beginning of June or towards the end? A Monday before Father's Day won't be too crowded and I don't think you should have too many problems.

There is sometimes a line to get into the shark exhibit, and almost always a line to get into the Wild Arctic "ride", but you can bypass the short ride and just walk into the exhibit from the much shorter line.

Your best bet to maximize your time is to look at the show schedule online for the day you are planning to go, and the map. Figure out what times you want to do each show, and then plan what exhibits you want to see in between the shows.

BTW, your 2-year old won't be tall enough for the 2 big rides. But he will love the Sesame Street attractions!

Thx, MM! We've been to SW Orlando and it seemed enormous. We kept trudging back and forth across the park to see shows, it was totally exhausting!

If you do breakfast with Shamu do you get in earlier or at park opening??? Does it take a chunk of park time?
