SW - Today Wasn't the Day

Today wasn't the day for us. We are looking for flights from Providence, Hartford or Manchester for July 29 - August 10/12 and they are still VERY high for our days. Some of the Internet Fares are only $2 less than the next fare category Promotional. Some of the earlier morning flights that were still available yesterday are now showing Unavailable so people are paying these prices. I am starting to get worried. I do see great deals if we were going in June.

Hi, I am seeing the same thing! I have tickets(DING-$89)to fly out of PVD Wednesday June 27th -but it is the last flight of the night. I was hoping for a SALE to change these to Tuesday morning,which is still available. I also need flights home and right now Saturday and Sunday have early morning flights only. I am presuming that INTERNET fares are the ones that would go on sale?? So if this catagory is available that is what I have to chose from when the SALE comes! What I do not know is DOES SWA HOLD BACK some seats and release them when they have a SALE?? I still think SWA will have a SALE for July and August or HOPEFULLY I will at least catch a DING for my flight home. Joan

I've been hoping the internet fares would pop up again for SNA to PHX because I want to switch our June flight from a Saturday night flight to a Sunday morning flight (at almost the same fare as my DING fare of course ). Well, the internet fares are back up again but every one of them is "not available", what's the point?!! I shouldn't complain though, I've really been pretty spoiled by their low fares over the years.

There's a similar thread higher up, but my post there works here, too. OP, we're in the same boat as you.

We're flying Hartford-Orlando on August 12th, returning August 21st. Lowest it's been since they began offering through August 24th bookings for our days is $117 internet-only fare (we booked). The internet-only fares have bounced up and down and even went away for a time, but today I see they are back and at $119. Am hoping it'll drop down to $69ish each way, which is what the June Hartford-Orlando fares are at.

Guess we'll just have to wait until July's fares drop before they'll drop August's, assuming they do.

If it makes you feel any better, we're going in June and had to pay those high rates too. I figured they'd come down, or at least the internet rate would open up, but no such luck so far. I check the prices at least 3 times a day! And the internet fare pops up sometimes (like today), then it will be gone again. But when it pops up, it's "unavailable". Maybe we'll get a Ding or something will change as we get closer, but for now it's the same daggone pricing it's been since the day the fares were released.

I ended up booking today just to get flights and was able to get 5 tickets for $924. We took advantage of a DING for $45 from Hartford to Orlando on Saturday 7/28 a day earlier than we had planned. It is the last flight of the day 8:15 - 11:00 which I'm not thrilled with. I booked flights home at $119 on Sunday 8/12 for the 5:05 - 7:45 flight. On the bright side we get to spend a few extra days in WDW and we are planning to attend the P&P party on the 11th. We do need to get a hotel room for the 29th and the 10th and 11th because we have used our DVC points for the BWV from 7/29 -8/10 and we don't have any points left to use. I plan to keep watching for better fares and flight times though. Good luck to all who are still waiting!

I got an email at around 1:30 Eastern with some good sale prices you might check again! There are $59 flights to and from Birmingham which is pretty good. (Better then DINGS have been lately!)
