I was just sitting here thinking about that!! I so want to book my flight, but don't want to book w/ out seeing SW's prices first. (And checking to see if they lower the other airlines fares as well!!)

You might be onto something.

In their press release about starting service to RSW, they said they would be opening their schedule 'next month' (this was back in June), so it's certainly plausible.

I'll be watching, esp since we need tickets home from RSW in February. I know they won't go that far out, but I can get an idea about times, etc...

Well I did notice that their current sale says "through end of schedule" (or something like that) instead of giving a date. I remember hearing that they do that when they are about to extend the schedule, so I guess we'll see if it's true!
Now that I think of it, I also noticed that they added another (category?) for the flights I was watching in Oct. The last category to the right had been "promotional fare $79 - 99", and when I checked it yesterday they added an "internet one-way $130". That scared me so I went ahead and booked the $79 flights, and good thing I did, the flight I booked going down is no longer available at that rate!
Looks promising for those of you waiting for Nov!

I have my flight booked into Orlando but just shy of the dates for my return flight....

I just spoke with southwest, and who knows, they said next week. I am waiting and willing to book at even a non sale price because everything I read here says it is not problem to get a credit when the rate goes down. I will even try and get a credit card refund if possible. good luck everyone. I need november and it will be a busy week out of philly for us up her with school being out in jersey for most of the following week. nov 5-12

Nothing at 10:20AM....I was hopeful for today also....they almost always open new dates on Thursdays and I did notice that last night the sale fares had Nov and Dec added to the month choices (instead of stopping at October), however if you clicked on Nov you got the "current schedule ends 10/28" message....thought that might mean they were getting ready to open up today.

I'll hang out a little longer and see what happens.

I haven't seen a "Ding" offer from SWA since I believe, July 4. If I'm right, this may mean they are pretty much booked up until Oct. 28 and are ready to open up Nov. and maybe Dec..

Update: I have seen others on the Transportation board get "Ding" rates yesterday so I must have missed my "Dings".
