SW Rapid Rewards question

when you earn 16 rapid reward credits and are issued an award for free flight, can you still accumulate rapid rewards credits towards another award before the first award is used? In other words, can I accumulate 2 awards from one account to be used at the same time or do I have to use the first award before they will issue another award?

DH will have more than 16 credits once I transfer his Choice Priviledges Visa points over to SW credits so it got me thinking that maybe I could earn enough credits for another award before we go away next summer.

We had some rapid reward credits accumulate in an account before we used an award. We only had 2 credits come before we used the award though, no where near enough for another award but I would think that you could continue to earn more credits.

With the Choice Visa, the credits continue to be added. You decide when to turn them into RR credit (or hotel stays, or whatever........).
I believe you can keep them "banked" in your Choice account for up to two years before transferring them into awards.

okay, so say I keep them in the "Choice account" and then transfer when needed, at that point if I then have 32 credits in the RR account, will they award 2 awards to be used by two different people (probably our kids) for the same flight or will I only be awarded one award at a time?

I have an award currently in my account, DH will have one after I transfer his Choice points and I am hoping we can get enough points for another award before next August, thereby giving us three free flights for our trip to WDW.

I currently have 3 RR awards in my account at Southwest. You can have as many awards as you earn. I have to use two of mine before the first week in February, so Disneyland in December and WDW in January.

At one time I had 2 RR awards in my account that I used for my wife and I to go to DL.
