Last fall they tested out assigned seating to see how it would fly, but not implemented yet.

Nope. As the majority of SW frequent flyers seem to prefer open seating, there's a chance they will never switch.

Nope and don't look for it in the near future, either. I am a very FF and RR member and I prefer the POWER of choosing my own seat far away from a cougher, seatkicker and a lap child.

I don't see this one changing soon. They did a bunch of research and the majority perferred the system as is.

Personally, I think it's great. Assigned seating is available on all of the other carriers. I love that I can still get a decent seat on SW even if I book my ticket 24 hours in advance.
