If it is just a change in fare (Not a Ding!), you can make the changes very easily.
Just click the link, enter your confimation number and the name of the ticket purchaser (the name on the credit card used to purchase the ticket). You can then rebook the flight with the same confirmation number. It will not cancel your flight, just change your fare.

The 800 number for SW is
1-800-435-9792
This is a general customer service number. Reports on the Dis state that you need to call 214-792-4223 to get refunds.
That's never a problem, since I am always willing to book another flight.

THANK YOU EVERYONE! I now have a $150 credit for a trip in the next year. YIPEE!

My dh makes fun of me saying I would book a $2000 vacation just for the sake of using a $200 credit.![]()
Is there something wrong with that? I would do it to use a $20 credit.
Yeah, it made perfect sense to me too. I thought that was an excellent idea-I've managed to "save" like that, too.Is there something wrong with that? I would do it to use a $20 credit.

If you rebooked on the EXACT SAME FLIGHT NUMBER, on the EXACT SAME DATE, after you come home, you can call SWA and they will refund the difference on your credit card.
I have done this more than once.
However, if you change the itinerary at all, you can only get credit.
Just FYI - Keep in mind it's travel COMPLETED within one year of the original booking date. So if you bought the original tickets on November 15, you have to take your next trip (not just make the reservation) before November 15. If you go to travel tools and view ticketless travel funds, it will show you when they need to be used by.
I just love SWA for their flexibility.
