I know we are going to SW in May. I plan on booking a package through SW for the Renaissance. Right now if you book you get the "eat all day" for free. Is this a good enough perk that I really need to book now and lock it in, or do they run frequent specials? I would get the two day hoppers and it is good in both parks.
thanks !

If it's free I would snatch that up. We did this at Busch Gardens and for us, it was way too much food. We wouldn't do it again, but it was fun to pig out, lol.

Is the Renaissance a preferred hotel? I am thinking that one is, and if so the quick queue passes that come with the rooms are awesome! To get that with the all day dining would rock.

We just stayed at the Marriot Sprinhill (another preferred) and it runs $89-150ish a night. Comes with free breakfast and the quick queue passes (but you have to snatch them early, they are limited). If the renaissance isn't much higher, I would definately go with it....

In fact....I may go look at that lol

BTW, we just moved back here in March from Boise. :)

You have to do the math. I thought it was a nice perk. For me, I took the deal through SW website, booked hotel (Fairfield) and tickets to SW and Aquadica. We got 1 free day of dining at both parks. Great. We are not big eaters, so I agree, may not do it again, but fun to not have to worry about getting a bottle of cold water, a snack, and hot food whenever we wanted. At SW, we had availablity of food from 8:30am to 10:30 at night. We had a nice breakfast, good lunch, and good dinner, with too many to count trips for water and strawberries or fries or cake. At Aquadica, wasn't as good. A pizza/buffet that all you could eat for lunch and an early dinner. But, it was good to get cold water bottles or cups of soda you could carry out of the restaurant.

What sold me on the package, is that I got a very good price for the hotel. So, even though I had to pay full price for the tickets, I also got free parking at the hotel, free breakfast at the hotel, free unlimited quick ques from the hotel, 2 days of free dining, and a 5 minute drive to DC, SW, and Aquadica.

If you get the meal plan for FREE go for it! But I would NEVER pay the $26 or so dollars for the all day meal plan! It was a HUGE diappoitment to us! You could only use the plan at certain places and they were very spread out around Sea World. It was very frustrating and we would not do it again! :sad2: Hope you have a wonderful time!
Blessings,
Jennifer

I don't quite understand why it's a big dissapointment, they include all the main counter service restaurants,

Participating restaurants: Voyager’s Smokehouse (excluding Baby Back Ribs), Seaport Pizza, Terrace Garden Buffet, The Spice Mill, Seafire Inn, Mango Joe’s

you can go into any of these as often as you wish and get an entree,a side or dessert and a soda or water.Doing this one time is probably $13-$18 depending on what you get.Whenever you're thirsty you can just get a drink or some fruit which is $6-$7,I mean obviously if you're a light eater or get to the park late and the park closes early you might not get your money's worth but really it's a great deal.If you go in the summer getting unlimited sodas or water is priceless,I think I ate and drank $70-$80 when I went in the summer. If you want to see a similar deal that really doesn't include all the counter service restaurants go to Universal, they have an all day dining deal and it's like $9 less but all they have are like 3 restaurants and the good counter service restaurants are not included.

I found the Sea World all day dining to be a good deal if the park is open late and you plan to eat three meals. If was especially wonderful during the Christmas event when the park had their regular shows during the day and then the special holiday shows in the evening. They also had special holiday themed meals at several of the included restaurants. I think the quality and variety of the offered foods was much, much better than the Universal Studios all day meal deal. Probably the best thing were the all day beverages and snacks (side item--you can get just and drink and side item if you wish)--especially the fresh strawberries which were really nice once you were sorta full but still wanted a little something.

For me, it's not so much as a disappointment as not needed. I think the better deal is to just stay at a place like Fairfield or Springhill. Both give you a free breakfast plus quick queue passes. If you eat breakfast at the hotel, you likely won't eat enough at the park.

However, if you are going to be there for the entire day, morning to night then I would say go for it. It's certainly a plus to just walk up and get whatever you want. It's definately far better than Universals deal (which sucks imo).

I don't think it's a bad deal at all and the food is decent. I just think the quick queue passes and free breakfast is better.

BTW, if you have Universal refillable cups, Sea World will honor those for the .99 refills. I was surprised about that.
