SW online pre-board question.

Hi,
We are getting ready to fly Southwest very soon and I have 1 question about the on-line preboarding pre24 hr process.
It looks like when you go to get your boarding pass (A,B,C).........it only has room for 1 name and confirmation #. Do you have to preboard for every one in the same reservation seperately or can you just do it with the main reservation holder ??
For our family of 5, do I have to put every name and confirmation or will they all go through during the main name and confirmation?
I just need to know if I have to have 5 windows of SW "pre-board" open on my computer at the 24hr mark!!!

After you put in your name and confirmation #, a screen will come up with all the passengers under the reservation. There will be a check box by each name, just put a check in each box and press enter and the entire party is checked in.

Remember, you do not have to print your boarding pass at this time, you can reprint them at the airport if you prefer.

Also, to avoid any confusion: checking in online is entirely different and separate from preboarding.

ditto what kaytieeldr said re: preboard and online check in... the op seems to be using the phrases interchangably when they are most definitely not one and the same...

also, whether you have to check in online for each individual passenger or your group as a whole will depend upon how you booked the reservations... if you booked everyone under one reservation/confirmation number, then you check in online/get boarding passes (not PREboarding passes) once for the group... if you booked the ressies individually, then you need to go thru the process once for each reservation/confirmation number...

Yes, I was talking about the online check-in to print out the boarding passes.
Wondering..........I can just check-in online and confirm my a,b,c boarding pass...........BUT not print it out untill I arrive at the airport ??? This would make it a LOT easier. Great for checking in for the trip home if there is no printer available at the resort. If this is true, let me know, all you SW experts!!!

Just wanted to say thanks for the info.
Checked in online for our boarding pass's EXACTLY 24 hrs to the minute before our flight time, and it worked out fine. I typed in our confirmation, and main name on the reservation, and all 5 of the reservations came up........that was easy. Just clicked on all 5 names and printed out our boarding passes.
Happy to say that we are in the A crowd !!!
