SW Makahiki Luau

DH and I went in 2004. I thought it was a fun show. I liked the food, but DH didn't. The typical Luau food. You sit at long tables with other people. One one side we had a very nice mother and daughter from New York, and on the other we had a real nice guy and his "lovely" wife. So I guess you take your chances with that one. DH and I like to meet people, so it was fun to us. DH REALLY like the dancing I thought it was worth it, but once was enough for me.

HAve you done the WDW Luau? Can anyone compare the 2?

Sorry! I haven't. It gets horrible reviews, so I chose not to do it (we did the HDDMR instead!)

Are you talking about the luau at the Polynesian? I read mostly terrible reviews about it, but seeing that we were staying at the Polynesian decided to check it out anyway. I thought it was FINE!!! I have been to luaus in Hawaii and thought that they entertainment was comparable.
I know this still doesn't answer you question about the SW Makahiki Luau, but had to put my 2 cents in about the Polynesian luau!!!
