SW Luggage Restriction Question

We have never flown SW before, and I've just checked out the SW checked baggage restrictions and have measured my roll-on bags. The SW restrictions say 62" (L+W+H). The one bag we were going to take measures out to 64". Is there any leeway from SW, or will we get dinged with a charge? I really don't want to go out and buy a new luggage bag, but am concerned about getting charged a lot. Anyone have experience here? Thanks

don't forget you are also restricted by weight with SW. A bag that big is bound to be heavy, which could also ding with an extra charge. SWA has a weight limit of 70 lbs per piece.

We always use the skycap and they seem to be able to get things through, even a bit over the 70# limit and a couple of inches past the size. It is well worth the generous tip.
