Just wondering what SeaWorld has for evening entertainment if anything....fireworks or lightshow??

Thanks...

Does anyone know if they continue the Mystify show in September? We are going Sept 17-23. I know that UO/IOA only does their fireworks during the summer. I checked the schedule, but it says "no shows scheduled for September" which I'm sure just means they haven't gotten that far yet. :)

Thanks!

P.S. Have I said lately that these boards are AWESOME!!! I can't imagine having planned this trip without them. All the "extra special" things are going to come from things I learned from all of you. Thanks again!

shelby,

I was wondering the same myself - I've just emailed SW to ask them, their online form advises it'll take 3-4 days for a reply - I'll post the reply when I receive it. :goodvibes

The "no shows scheduled" means no external guest stars for shows, like when they have Jack Hannah or Hi5 or whatever Backstreet Minudo Talent-free clone is popular this season.

It does not refer to regular park shows.

The way to tell is go to the Park Information-Park Hours on their web site. If the closing time is after dark, good. If not, perhaps no fireworks show.

In Sept, 1-4 they close at 8:30. Right about dark that time of year. That plus holiday weekend means they probably have the fireworks.

Sept 5-30 they close at 7. Still light that time of year. About dusk at end of month. Maybe/maybe not dark enough for Mistify. My $0.02 and worth every penny you paid for it. :teeth:

Mystify is a summer show. It will start this weekend and go through Labor Day weekend. Then they probably show it during the Christmas holidays. Not sure when they start- maybe Thanksgiving weekend. Not sure if it is nightly the whole month of December or just on weekends. Christmas week it is every night unless they change it this year.

For those of you who have seen Mystify, how was it? Worth sticking around for? How does it stack up versus some of the Disney closing shows?

Thanks.

If mystify is the new one that started a couple of years ago? then it was terrible. Overly sentimental (I dont think even disney could have pulled it off) and the fireworks were no where near as good as any of the disney ones (or the amazing display they used to put on at seaworld that you watched from the waterski stadium. We saw them 2 years ago, and this year (despite almost being there at closing time anyway) decided we would rather beat the crowds to the car park than watch the show.
Summary: evening animal shows (especially sea lions) worth waiting for, fireworks are not.

We saw Mistify on Saturday night and I would have to agree with this comment. We are AP holders at SW, USF/IOA and also at Busch Gardens and for various reasons (mainly disappointments) we have not set foot in a Disney park in over five years but as we were leaving SW after Mistify my husband and I agreed that no one can do fireworks shows (and parades) like they do at Disney. Everything else pales in comparison. We enjoyed Misify but it can't hold a candle to any of the Disney nighttime shows. Just my two cents.
