If I re-book a SW flight, I know the savings goes into Travel Funds and can be used for a later flight. My question is, how long are they good for? I'm hoping the answer is one year from the original booking date, but I think it might be less than that!

You have it right. 1 year from original booking date (not date of travel origination).
