Just booked flight out March 8th on SW for $179 out of Buffalo:cool1:
$715.20 taxes and early bird for 4.

Sounds like a lot, but looked up March break 2011 and we paid $1093.10:faint:

Now just gotta wait for the return flights to open up August 27:hyper:

we fly down with airtran on the 7th and are waiting as well for the return fare to open up, hope that we get a decent price coming home on the 16th or 17th. 126 plus the 20 per bag still is a pretty good deal nonstop flight at 755am, do you recall what you paid coming home on your last march break trip?:worried:

Never flown with AirTran. I guess I just always book what I'm use too and has gone well in tHe past. You got a great price going out. DH works nights in TO so 11:30 is the earliest we could make it out without him having to take another night off. I should look at AirTran for flight back. When do those dates open? Do you get assigned seating with them?
2011 our return flight was $812. I would like to return late on the Saturday after cruise rather than staY aroundd another day.

airtran opens up the next set of fares in September, this is a first flying with them . Even with the 20 extra for the first bag per person and I did an advance seat reservation that was 24 dollars for the 4 of us , so in all the total fare down is 607.20 I think it was a pretty good deal, you can wait till when you do your airline checkin to get your seats and not have to pay the 24 dollars for 4 passengers for your seats but I figured the 24 .00 was worth having made my own choice on where we would be sitting. Even then its still cheaper then the 10 dollars per person southwest charges for early checkin, so all in all this worked out to be the cheapest between southwest or jetblue and I hope to be able to snag another good fare as soon as they open past march 8th. We too are planning to fly back home on the 16th after the cruise. wish this cruise was sooner!:cool1::goodvibes

I wish Hamilton had better prices . flight down is a good price but coming back it doubles in price, a 15 min. drive to the hamilton airport for us , would have loved to be able to fly out of there! are you from Hamilton Petbren?

Yes, we are on the west mountain, you?
Are you a DVC member?
We flew once out of Hamilton, when my mom in a wheel chair was with us, it was just easier.
However, going through customs in Orlando was horrible:scared1: The things they put a little old lady through were unbelievable:(
It is too bad there weren't cheaper, and more available flights out of here.

Hi Petbren, we are on the east mountain but I grew up on the west mountain, stonechurch and west5th. Yes it would be great if Hamilton had more available flights and if prices were a little better! Not a fan of flying out of Toronto, Buffalo is a very easy airport to get around, sorry to hear you had a bad time at the orlando airport with your mother. No we are not dvc members, wish I had of joined in years earlier, if I was younger I would , getting up there in age lol.Isthis your first cruise? We have been on the magic twice, eastern and western, I prefer the western but am looking forward to san juan. I had actually thought about changing the march break trip into a summer trip instead but my dh said no it was to far away and march was far enough off. so march break it is! The 2 grandkids we are taking this trip are both in high school so we are limited in the times we can now take them, my daughters didnt want them missing to much school. Will probably book another disney cruise for december 2013 and take my younger grandson, I love going to disney at xmas time so that gives me an excuse to add a cruise to the trip lol! I think I work just to hand my pays over to disney! Looking forward to chatting with you over the next 7 months till we cruise!:thumbsup2

Yes, it is our first cruise:banana:
DH is not a sit on the beach kind a guy, so when he suggested this January that we look at going to the carribean next winter, I went directly to my trusty laptop, and started looking.
I was diagnosed with celiac disease (allergy to all thing wheat:eek:), almost a year ago now, so finding somewhere that would acccomodate my food issues was tuff. I knew Disney would be on board, so started researching, and sprung the cruise on DH.
We don't have nearly enough points for a 4 person cruise, so will be paying cash.
Our 2 kids will also be in highschool, so also, can't have them miss a week of school. At the time of the trip, DS will have just turned 17, and DD will be almost 15.
As you are a cruise vetran, any advice ,planning tips, etc. would be really appreciated.

Hi petbren! My grandson will have just turned 17 and my grandaughter will have just turned 16 before the cruise, so looks like they will all be in the same club! I have heard of disney doing an excellent job with anyone that has allergies, you have made the best choice for your trip! Where are you staying before the cruise? Are you joining up with the fe exchange? Havent made my mind up about it as yet, we did do it on the previous 2 cruises but it was alot of work and then having to have space to bring back what was given took some effort! We LOVE disney cruises , makes it hard to try out other cruise lines, every single person I have met tells me the others just dont compare with disney. On our last cruise I met a couple that were in their early sixties and it was a first disney cruise they had taken, their daughter convinced them to come along on their trip , they had been on 50 cruises before this one in their lifetime! Now they are sticking to disney and disney alone from now on, they were that impressed! Any questions you can think of I would be happy to answer to the best of my ability, so ask away! you can pm me if you like nice chatting with you Leslie:thumbsup2
