Hi -

We are using ticketless travel tickets that expire in October for our August trip. The airfare has just dropped $160 for our trip. If we rebook @ the lower fare, will we get a credit or refund, or will we be credited and the savings expire in October?
Thanks for your help, trying to call SW now, keep getting put on hold. Hope this makes sense!

you will most likely be credited, with the credit expiring in october.

doesn't hurt to ask for the amount to be credited back to your credit card though.

I had this happen recently. Because I had used a credit to purchase the airfare originally that expired this June my new credit also expires in June. I was told I could call customer service and ask for an extension of 6 months - I was told this would be in the form of a travel voucher mailed to me and the 6 months starts from the day you call so I am waiting until closer to June to ask for the extension. They said they will only do this once.
