SW Early Birds-what numbers have you been getting lately?

I was really happy with our #'s. NO EBCI. Logged in at 24 hours with a full plane both ways. From hartford to MCO #A46, 47, 48, 49.

On the way back from MCO #A45, 46, 47, 48.

2/3 of the plane was still available when we boarded. We chose to sit two and two with a stranger sitting in the aisle seat. We were really nervous about it but it went so easy!

For our trip Aug 7 to 15 from BWI, we used EBCI both ways. Family of 5. Going down, A26 to A30. Returning A27 to A31. Not a bad investment since fights from BWI to MCO can have a lot of families with small children (our youngest is 7).

I'm flying out today from RDU to MCO. I decided to add ECBI two weeks ago because I'm the only adult flying with my 7 and 9 year old (didn't want to risk not sitting together). When I booked it, I thought I wouldn't be near a computer at the 24 hour mark (ends up I was, but oh well it is peace of mind!).

We got A26-28. I've never flown SW but from what I've read here, that should be fine.

Leaving for the airport in about 2 hours!!! Can't believe the time is here!

Leaving RDU tomorrow morning. Checked in without EBCI this morning right @ 24 hours and got A44.

On our way back Sunday, MCO-BUF (connecting in FLL) we didn't use EBCI but I checked us in at exactly T-24, got B-5,6,7. When we got on the plane there were 3-4 rows of three still open. I was surprised at how many single travelers there were -- or possibly single EBCI travelers saving seats for the rest of their family?

We had planned on being at the resort at T-24 anyway, so it was no big deal, but in the future, if our return flight T-24 is going to be at a "prime park time" we'll probably pay the $30 to get EBCI for all of us.

Did not use EBCI on our flight from PHL to MCO and got A 39, 40, and 41. On the return trip my DH decided to purchase EBCI during our WDW stay and we got B 3,4, & 5. My DH was very disappointed and called SWA to ask why he did not get A boarding passes. The customer service rep told him that EBCI is getting more and more popular and many people are now getting B boarding passes. There were 47 people ahead of us that purchased EBCI before us. She told my DH that you are placed in a queue depending upon when you actually purchase the EBCI so it seems like the best time to buy it is when you make your original reservations. The gentleman directly in front of us purchased his EBCI the week before his flight and he got B2.
As for boarding with children, families with children under the age of 4 were allowed to board after the A group and before the Bs on both of our flights. The gate agents were very diligent in monitoring this process.
I also noticed that the flight attendants were not allowing people to save rows of seats for other family members that had higher boarding passes. There was a gentleman who was a medical pre-board who tried to save the row of seats behind him. The flight attendant informed him that SWA has a no seat reservation policy and he could not save those seats if other passengers wanted them.

Just to follow up-we came home yesterday. Coming home with EBCI, we got A17-20. It was definitely worth it for us.
