sw dropped the $$

we origainally booked a $79 fare islip to mco during presidents week now the same flight is 59!! i called sw and they talked me through it now i have a $79 credit. can i get this $$ back on my credit card?

no. The credit is with Southwest unless you purchased a refundable fair. Check your original type of fair.

Call the long distance # on their website and click for refund dept. I was told yes twice on the same trip when I cancelled/rebooked due to lower fares. It couldn't hurt to try.

I was told the other day if you change prices on the same flight you can write to them to get the credit back on your credit card.

PS Check DING...I got $44 tix this week for April break from Islip...unheard of!

hey LIGrumpyGirl i am from long island too!! east islip, unfortunitly the ding didn't
work for us. this trip is for presidents week, but i did get my flight a little cheaper from 79 going down to 59each for the 4 of us

My friend just wrote a letter asking for the refund to the credit card and it appeared on her credit card statement. She had gone from 79 to 49 on the same flights. They had told her to request after she fly but she was impatient to get back the 240.00 she saved and so wrote them a letter shortly after she changed the flights. Good Luck!
