SW Dining: Suggestions? Spice Mill or Mango Joe's?

The last few times we've eaten at SW we went to Seafire Inn (okay) and Shark's (very good). I'd like to do the Dine w/Shamu but the only show is at 4:00 and my girls will be "done" by then!

So this time we're going to try somewhere different. I know there is a new Spice Mill eatery, but I do not know if they have a kids menu. And Mango Joe's sounds interesting, and possibily healthy offering a variety of salads. But of course I cannot find menus.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone has eaten at either place, or a different place, and could offer suggestions.

Thanks!
Cheryl

the one time that I ate at the spice mill I found the food to be very bad and not worth the price. I liked the sea fire inn and sharks. Dine with Shamu is great for the atmosphere but the food is buffet and nothing to right home about, not bad though. Never tried Mango Joes so I can't help with that.

Cheryl - I am very interested in Mango Joes, too. Is your trip soon? I am going on 3/30. If you are going sooner and eat there, would you mind coming back and posting about the place? I hear that the food is more expensive than WDW (if that is possible).

Thanks,

Stephanie

We are heading there today, just for today and tomorrow. I will surely post when I return! I'm pretty sure we're going to try Mango Joe's, heard from others that their food is pretty good.

Talk soon,
Cheryl

Well, unfortunately we didn't get to eat at Mango Joe's. The in laws went so we ended up at the Spice Mill. It was HORRIBLE and EXPENSIVE. They wanted an extra $5 to add chicken to a caeser salad. The fried fish sandwich was all batter. Dh's habanero chicken sounded much better than the presentation. (basically just a piece of bread with fried chicken and a little sauce.) The girls' kiddy meal was 6.99 for a Smuckers PB&J, chips and a drink. The steak sandwich was alot of bread too. Will NEVER eat there again.

Now, I did stop into Mango Joe's to preview the food and check out the prices. They ranged from 6.99-8.99 for fajitas, salads & wraps. Everything looked fresh and great. Regret we didn't eat there.

We would have tried today but it got way to cold and windy. (We're Floridians so this IS cold to us!)

Either way, I recommed Bahama Breeze to everyone that dines outside of the parks. The food is absolutely delicious. We ate there last night and even the kids meals rock!

Hope this helps someone!

This is a great place. At Smoky Creek Grill, they have great baked beans, chicken and ribs......Only thing is it's outdoor seating, and if you turn your back your food will be stolen...........by the birds!
But,it's very tasty and worth fighting for........Give it a try!

Cheryl - thanks for posting about Mango Joes. We may give it a try in March. DS8 loves fajitas, so this will probably be a good choice for us. Sounds like most of the food at SW is expensive.
