Ok guys, I need your help understanding this:confused3. April 1,2009 I purchased tickets for my family of 4. A couple of weeks later the price came down so I rebooked so we would get the credit. I knew the credit would expire before we traveled again, but I thought we could extend for the $50. Ok so I'm close to rebooking so I call SW today about extending the credit. I have 2 conf # one for $184 the other # $72--so I knew I'd lose the $50 on each but hey every little bit helps, right? Well when I called they said that the $184 credit was $46 per ticket so not enough to extend, needless to say I didn't even ask about the $72. I was under the assmption that $50 would come from each conf # not ticket. We rarely fly, so did I just misunderstand this whole time? I was counting on using these credit for our flight-so I'm kinda bummed over it. So my question is has it always been this way? Anyone else have this happen? TIA

not per conf #. When I called about this a few year ago, the lovely SWA cust service lady "suggested" I book a solo refundable flight that would use up the entire credit then, when I cancelled that ticket, the credit would be on one ticket instead of however many tickets were originally involved and would only be charged 1 $50 fee. Sorry

Did this work? How long did it take to get the refund to your credit card for the outstanding portion that wasn't covered by the credit?
