SW Credit extend????

I have a credit for SW that expires on 11/22. I have a trip planned 12/8-12/13. I read on the boards that you can get your credit extended for a $50 fee. I called to do this and the service rep told me that you cannot be considered for an extention untill 7 days before it expires. Has anyone else experienced this?

I don't know if this would work or not, but could you book another trip before the expiration, and turn around and cancel it, and in essence have credits with another 1 yr. expiration??

You can not do this. The credited $$$ will always have the expiration date, and any money $$$ you co-mingle with it will also take that expriation date.

As PP stated that so will not work
so be careful and put any credits on one ticket and pay cash for all the rest .

I did mine right before they started charging and had one that I would have paid more for the fees then the credit was worth. As it's $50 per seat and not per credit. I'm sure they said something about not extending until it was about to expire.
