SW checkin question... changing planes.

Although I've flown SW many, many times, I have been lucky enough to always have direct, non-stop flights. But, in a week or so, I fly out of Ft. Lauderdale to Providence. But, we stop in Tampa. We change planes..two flight numbers. So....what happens when I checkin, online at the 24 hr mark? Does it automatically check me in for both flights? I would hate to get off the plane in Tampa and find myself with a C grouping, after checking in at that all important 24 mark the day before.
Thanks guys.

If I recall correctly from last month, you check on the flights you'll be checking in for, and it will give you the boarding passes for each of the connecting flights.

I did the Albany --> Tampa (change plane) --> West Palm Beach flight on SW this past Feb. I did the online checkin the day before I left and received boarding passes for both legs of the flight.

Just checked DH in today for a return from Tampa by way of Baltimore and it gave both boarding passes at once! Have a nice trip.:)
