SW booking Question

Hi everyone - I'm hoping that y'all can help me with booking my flights to WDW. My questions are probably beginner questions, but I've rarely had to pay for airline tickets - so I'm kind of lost. (My job allowed me to trade for tickets - so I've been lucky)

I want to fly to MCO on Dec 14 and return Dec 27. I've been watching SW but they haven't opened those dates yet. I want to take advantage of the special web fares to get the best deal I can.

So do I purchase my tickets as two one ways? Buying the flight out as soon as it becomes available? and same on return? Or do I wait and buy them as a round trip after the Dec 27 date becomes available? Will I lose out on the web discount fare by waiting?

I know that the return will probably be more expensive since it's so close to Christmas, but I'm hoping I can really make up with saving on the flight out - since it's fairly early in the month.

With SWA, I would recommend buying your ticket as soon as they become available. According to the SWA webiste:

We are currently accepting air reservations through November 4, 2011. On May 24, we will open our schedule for sale through January 6, 2012. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently.

Both of your dates will open on May 24th, so you can purchase each way or round trip tickets. A lot of people recommend purchasing one way tickets in case a DING fare comes alone and is cheaper. You cannot change your reservation for a DING fare, you have to cancel and rebook.

at SW, it's all the same, you'll just have two res #'s
