SW boarding pass when changing planes

How does it work if you have to change planes with your boarding pass? How do I get a boarding pass for the second leg of my trip?

When you print your boarding pass from the first flight, the 2nd pass will print with it. It will check you in for both flights.

Do you get the same boarding number for both legs (like A20,etc)?

I guess I have always flown non stop and had no idea how this worked!

You don't necessarily get the same boarding number, but they are usually pretty close in my experience. HTH!

thank you for your quick reply! Just one more stupid question...when I check in for my first flight will it just print out two boarding passes or will I have to retrieve my second boarding pass at a later time?

You will get both boarding passes when you check in for the first leg. You do not have to print the second boarding pass later.
