Hello,

I have only flown once last summer on SW, so I am still quite unfamiliar about the pricing of fares. In August we paid 530.00 total for the three of us, roundtrip. I first paid 790.00 when I bought the fares 4 months before, but they came down low about 6 weeks before our trip.

Right now the cheapest I can get for April is $146 for one way. $164 coming home. Our total roundtrip for the three of us would be 1,000.

For the spring, do you think this is reasonable? This still a bit high for me as far as what I was budgeting for. I was hoping for just under $800 for us. I am just afraid that if I don't bite on these they may sky rocket. There are already some flights on our day that are between 200-300.

Thanks!

Easter is in April next year so fares will be higher with spring break and holiday travel. Have you checked other airlines to see what they are charging? From Chicago, you should have a few choices.

April is prime spring break time. If you're traveling during your spring break they airlines know it and prices are higher than usual. Sometimes if you play with your dates, like fly out on a Sunday and back on a Friday and fly at odd times you can get some less expensive fares.
