I am traveling in September with my 2 year old DD and we will be bring her car seat. Can anyone tell me if they allow you to board first to allow you to install the car seat before they start loading the plan. I will also be bring my mother with me so she would be able to wait to load with DD after I have gotten the seat installed?

SW order of boarding - Medical preboards then people w/kids under 5. Generally it is just 1 adult per kid (I believe) to prevent all 15 cousins from boarding with little Jimmy, but I'd bet they let your Mom go with you.

you can preboard. fyi, you need a ticket for your child to use the car seat. I am sure you know that. We always did that as well, and it worked out well

Thanks so much everyone. That helps a lot. DD has a seat, which will be the first time for a plan ride. She turns 2 on the 19th of June so prior to this she has flown on either DH or my lap.
