10% off SW airlines for free dining flights, you must book by 4/21 however........be warned, family works for SW and Continental, prices are being raised for summer/fall r/t gas prices...........BOOK NOW. $77 each way from Pittsburgh, nonstop, that is with the discount. Remember, if price does go down, SW will credit your credit card the difference, up until you leave:thumbsup2 It is almost a no brainer not to book with them. My Orlando flight was lowered twice in Feb and I kept changing it to the lower price and as soon as the flight is finished, I got the credit on my card! Hurry book now.:cheer2:

How do we get the 10%discount? It wasn't that cheap on line when I looked there yesterday

Did you download the Ding!
with the ding they are giving a 15% discount. In the past if prices for airfare went down before your flight SW did credit you the difference but w/ sw credits ( gift card) they did not return any money to credit card.
I live in Pgh too but my hubby wants to drive.

For southwest.com.. you can put in the code ding15 and it will save you 15 percent.

total $166 round trip pp with all taxes and fees, still isn't too :happytv: knowing the prices are going to increase since the gas prices have elevated........SW was on the front page, stating all flights are going up $10 each way if they are >1200 Miles, Orlando is 1300 miles from Pittsburgh.........we usually book in June, last 3 years we have gotten $49-$69 each way so I will continue to check and get the credit if the price goes down. Be warned, we booked Airtran last year, my sister and I booked different flights the same day, both flights were cancelled and they wanted to put us on LATER flights, connecting too and we booked nonstop.....so we were permitted to cancel without penalty and rebooked with SW, this isn't the first time Airtran has cancelled our flight r/t not enough passengers on the flight so they move them to the fuller flight to make it completely full. I am sticking with SW. I used the promo "ding15" and got 15% off the current prices............

can I add that code if I already booked? I saw the 10% off and the ding15 yesterday and I booked the day before.
Thanks

you can always get the better rate with SW, they credit ur credit card.......at least they did in feb........that is why I usually always use SW to MCO............go on the website and change itinerary and rebook..........its really easy..........

Thanks for the answer, but I did try going on the site. I cancelled and it said that the money would be kept for 1 year to use as a credit. I rebooked at the same price because I knew I wouldn't use the rest as a credit. I figured I was doing something wrong.

your credit will go back on your credit card, after your flight is over............you just have to call when you get back and ask for the refund your trip is over, we just did this in feb, multiple people in my group

OMG, you totally rock!!! I didn't know the dates for October were up yet. Then the discount code for 15% off worked like a charm. There was a link on the SWA home page for 10% off but I plugged in the 15% code and it worked.

I got 2 non-stop round trip tickets for $460 including all of the fees. That's an awesome price. I've had better from SWA but in this day and age $460 is an outstanding price.

Now, maybe my DH won't pick on me for spending too much time on the DIS. :rotfl:

So, I can cancel, make new reservations and call when i come home and ask for a credit? Easy enough!
Thanks

:confused3 I am wondering how you get SW to credit your credit card the difference if prices drop. I am always told that you can only receive a credit with SW that must be used within a 1 year time frame. I would much rather have my credit card credited back.:dance3:

you must call and request the credit, worked in febuary, 4 differenet reservations, all got refund........they told me on the phone that you must call and request after travel is complete. i booked 6 for vegas in may, booked that in dec, price fell twice, changed itinerary twice for all of us and they actually already credited my card.......

I saw the promo code this morning but the prices (from Kansas City) are still way high! We would have to shuffle our dates around, as there's a few blackout days which of course are when we're planning to leave. Right now even with the 15% off, the lowest price is $98 each way, all the way up to $216 each way. Make that a roundrip, times 4 people and it's between $784 and $1728 just for airfare! Uhhhh, no thanks. I've traveled SW for the last 4 years (except for one unfortunate trip using Midwest -- never again!) and I've yet to pay more than $69 each way. Guess I will just plan to wait it out.

I see fares are lower for some people, so I'm not giving up hope just yet!

Can you verify whether or not these were non-refundable flights? The flights I book are non-refundable. This is great info for the future if it works for the non-refundables:cheer2: :cheer2:

Five of the seven major US airlines (Continental, Delta, Northwest, United, and US Air) plan to charge most customers $25 each way to check a second bag starting May 5. Of the largest carriers, only American and Southwest have decided not to go along - for now. Airtran is adding a $10 second bag fee for travel on or after May 15. Spirit Airlines already had a $10 fee if paid online, or $20 at the airport
