Hello, I was wondering if anyone packs dried food (unopened) in their checkin luggage and if they have had any problem w/ security because of this. I would like to bring crackers, cereal bars, small pb & j, crystal light, etc. Any thoughts? Thanks

I've never packed food and checked it. Always carry it on.

What I always do is shop through netgrocer.com for nonperishables and have it sent directly to the hotel. Works great, and their prices aren't bad.

I had cereal, fruit snacks, trail mix, baby food, juice boxes, diapers, wipes, anything really that's not liquid or perishable.

When I used to lock my luggage, I packed lots of food in it. Now with the new rules, I pack some in my carry on, but I don't take as much as I used to.
