Suzy & Perla’s Battle Against the Lines… The Saga Continues! We're baaaaaack......

Great trippie so far. I can't wait to read more. :goodvibes

Hopefully it won't take me forever to finish! I'm gonna try to stay on course. Though since it's taken me forever to get through the morning of day one I have my doubts....

I actually loved the "who-deys" as we walked by other fans. Maybe because I have boys and Charming who wore a smile on his face everytime football came up. And I also like the pictures. We're all wearing different styles and outfits but still have the same theme. It's cool.:cool2:

I also think Suzy is better focused than me. It is really all I can do to not lose children, remember the plan & adjust it as needed, not lose my stuff, and continue to have fun. Especially on the first day. AND I struggle to not get involved in lengthy conversations whereas Suzy never has trouble with such things.

OK, before getting to MK, we got our Photopass CD back so I have to add the AK photos. We were in a rush to get stuff done cause Suzy & her boys wouldn't be back at AK so we only took 2, both in the same spot.

Image0002.jpg

Image0017.jpg

Is it me, or is Boo the only one who looks truly scared in this photo? Her perpetually terrified to be at Disney look. And Charming cracks me up. Evidently in his world fear is the same thing as pain.

Our next stop was Crystal Palace. We also had evening ressies, Suzy & boys to the Whispering Cafe & Donald & our fam to the Grand Floridian Cafe. Because of this we would only have just a few hours in MK and we didn't want to see Space Mt. so McQueen wasn't disappointed (he needed to wait for Milo who would be VERY disappointed to miss out on Tomorrowland) and we needed to avoid Boo seeing Dumbo as she was to wait until Grandma visited it so they could share in that moment.

My first memory of MK on this trip is taking notice of the posters under the railroad when you walk in. You know, the ones right above the maps? No? Maybe everyone is more observant than I am but I had never noticed them before. They are essentially movie posters announcing what you can see inside MK. See, I read this book about Disney World secrets. And evidently Walt wanted MK to be a movie experience. The monorail/boat are arriving at the theater. And the railroad is the lobby (thus the movie posters) and then Main Street is the credits. That's why the creator's names of MK are on all the above windows as store proprietors.

Anyway, we were in a terrible rush so I simply took note & didn't actually look at them and never in our trips to MK this week did I have time to read them. But I did take note.

The second thing I recall is that I always tear up when I first face the castle at the beginning of Main St. Always. But I was halfway down Main St. before I realized there were no tears! It was so sad. I was just too caught up in checking in to Crystal Palace and people were still saying "Who-Dey!" So all of this made me miss my first tear up moment. But I barely missed a step pondering it as by that point we were at lunch & checking in.

Thanks to Boo & Jack-Jack seeing Pooh & gang at AK it was with confidence that I went to the Crystal Palace desk and checked in. This had been my most stressful ressie because I love it sooooo much and I was terrified that I would have to miss out if Boo went hysterical on me. It was probably a bigger fear for me than any other vacation fear. And after T-Rex and It's Tough to be a Bug, Boo had proven that she could be very frightened. But she had seemed completely fine with seeing all the characters as long as she didn't have to touch them.

So now the question was, where would we be seated? I was hoping to be somewhere similar to where we were last time which was against a wall with a great view. That way we could protect Boo before a character snuck up on her. And I really wanted Suzy to be close to us as she had her four boys alone. But she didn't want to make any special requests as with free dining going she was afraid we would have to wait a long time if we put in special requests.

So, I checked in & then I took off running (yes, literally) through Adventureland to go get FP's for Big Thunder Mt. Railroad. There were just a TON of slow moving people. :lmao: So I stopped running. And walked VERY quickly. A nice lady helped me with my FP's and then I dashed back through Liberty Square. My quick dash tour of MK. A few things of note. One, MK now has a shortish 3:00 parade and a bunch of little parades. This made traffic flow much more confusing than normal and I ran into it here. I liked the little parades because it was festive all the time. But irritating to get through. Also, I saw Princess Tiana & Prince Naveen for the first time on this jog. GORGEOUS!

So, as Crystal Palace was in view I got a text from Donald that we were up. So he grabbed me & we ran in, not forgetting the kids, of course. What a whirlwind! I figured with the march from KS to the front of AK and then the walk to our van and then the march from the van to Crystal Palace and then to BTMR and back I deserved to eat whatever in the world I wanted. I'm not sure this was a good plan since I gained 5 lbs on this trip, but it sounded good to me at the time.

Where were we sat? In the PERFECT place! If you are facing the buffet we were to the right all the way against the windows closest to the castle. It was soooo quiet. The lady seating us apologized because she said the characters don't always get a chance to visit and we don't always get the parade and I almost hugged her. Seriously? Could that even be any better?

This is where we were. The Castle is right out that window behind the girls & we were kind of in a corner so Boo was completely protected.
IMG_1152-1.jpg

Suzy & her boys also got a great spot (for them) which was RIGHT next to the buffet. It was loud & crazy. But nice because she could easily let any of her kids go to the buffet at will since she could still see them. Plus, they (meaning the boys, not Suzy) don't mind noise & chaos one bit but just fit right in and naturally the parade goes right by that table.

Their placement:
102_0813.jpg

We had said we were celebrating our anniversary and when we got to our table in had a confetti heart. Awwww.....
IMG_1195.jpg

I saved most of this confetti in a baggie I had brought for leftovers and then I used it later in the week to sprinkle in the girl's hair. It's OK if you say I'm crazy because you can't have me committed since you don't know me. That confetti gave me joy all week long. So there. :wizard:

OK, so here are my family's photos & then I'll take you to Suzy's experience.

The big girls who have met the Pooh characters a ton still loved it. Even though they know they are people they are just soooo snuggly you have to be happy while meeting them.
IMG_1199.jpg

Here's Boo's reaction to Piglet. She's mildly amused & very interested but not scared at all:
IMG_1201.jpg

Here's a kid's plate:
IMG_1196.jpg

And my first plate:
IMG_1197.jpg

I'd love to say my second plate was full of veggies. :lmao: I forgot to take it until after I had eaten the savory things. My strategy was to get "real" food for my first plate & adventurous things on my second. But I got too full and did half a plate of adventurous things and the other half a "dessert sampler."

IMG_1198.jpg

Then we got our anniversary cupcake. We don't do candles on cakes at our house so the candle in the cake was a bizarre thing to our kids. I mean, they knew it existed, but what to do with it? Boo never did get the thing blown out. I think Donald may have eventually done it.

IMG_1202.jpg

And then Winnie the Pooh came. This was a particularly charming Pooh. We  this Pooh.
IMG_1203.jpg

And he was very gentle with Boo. Pretending he was embarassed to meet her & shy and scared. She fell for him totally.
IMG_1204.jpg

The Eeyore came (photo above) and then we were finished. I also wanted to mention that we LOVED our waiter here. He was just great. He told me all kinds of things about the DDP and was just helpful in general.

Finally, as we were getting up, Tigger was in our sight. I didn't want to wait for him to come to our table because by the time we realized he was about 6 tables away we were already packed & ready to walk out. So I told the girls we would walk his way & wait for him to finish with the tables he was with & grab his photo after. As we wander his way he took note that we were headed for him & started bouncing (literally & very vigorously) towards us. Boo FLIPPED OUT and started yelling, "No, no Tigger!" This took Tigger off guard and he stopped bouncing but it was too late. Boo was screaming so she & I RACED to the door and Donald stayed with Mulan and Ariel. I don't have a photo (that I can find) but I'm pretty sure Donald has video.

OK, so now let's do this whole thing over from Suzy's point of view, which of course, she'll have to tell you about. But I can show you the photos.

Here Charming is eating a giant plate of mashed potatoes. That boy loves mashed potatoes, if done properly. His look of contentment must mean they were OK.
102_0814.jpg

Also while we're on Charming, the Bengals' game was in full swing in here & Donald has an i-phone so he was going to keep Suzy & Charming informed of the score. But there was no need as with texting & be informed by strangers due to our wearing our jerseys, they always knew the score before we told them. The NFL: no need to stay on the couch, it's now totally portable.

Aw, dontcha just love Piglet?
102_0816.jpg

Pooh:
102_0819.jpg

Eeyore, and no, I'm not sure what Buzz is doing either.
102_0821.jpg

Tigger:
102_0822.jpg

Where is Jack-Jack in this story? Sleeping. He slept through one of the coolest meals of the week. Sorry, Jack-Jack. Even post-meal, he's still sleeping.
Image0043.jpg

Here we are in the same spot:
Image0038.jpg

And the big girls, "See Mom? There is a Tinkerbell!":
Image0034.jpg

So the biggest fear of my whole trip was quite anti-climatic and ended up being relaxing and delightful. Who knew?

Do I still love Crystal Palace? You betcha. All the way love it.

So, I really should wait for Suzy but I feel like just wrapping up this day since I feel like it's taking me forever.

After lunch we headed over to Frontierland and the Princess Tiana boat was just emptying for and "impromptu" Jazz parade. I loved this!
IMG_1206.jpg

IMG_1207.jpg

Princess Tiana likes me, she really does!
IMG_1208.jpg

Big Thunder. It was awesome. I was slightly distracted looking for secrets and Hidden Mickeys. Then I settled down & enjoyed the ride. I enjoyed it more than normal. Not sure why.

Post ride I took the misc. kids who weren't riding again and went to grab parade seats as I really wanted to see the parade and have Boo see how fun the characters could be. We happened upon a nice spot where we were only second row and the family in the front happened to be from Ohio and the dad who was saving their seats happened to have an i-phone. So in place of Donald he kept me up to date while we waited. He & I just became fast friends and enjoyed ourselves very much.

Then the rest of our respective clans came back. McQueen, it seems, had left his lanyard at the Crystal Palace so Suzy ran off to see if she could find it. Donald leaned against the back railing playing on his i-phone to kill time before the parade. I continued to chat. We had a very good thing going. And this is when things went awry.

The parade started and Suzy (who was victorious with the lanyard) was stuck on the other side of the rope. And Donald had this horrible woman (yes, I mean that) park her giant stroller in such a way that it was impossible for Donald to move at all and for anyone to pass. She did not speak English well and did not understand that her position was impossible. I, honestly, acknowledged that she was idiot and then proceeded to not pay attention to her as the circumstances had left me with all 7 kids.

This quickly became a huge problem as the dad that I had become friends with had also gone to the railing to play on his i-phone and with Donald got stuck by the horrible woman. Thus leaving his wife with 4 kids. My kids were sitting in the front row with them (because they were super nice) and then Buzz lays down all the way basically on all the kids. In normal circumstances I could handle this but there were 2 strollers & a bunch of kids between me & him & lots of noise so he couldn't hear me yelling at him. The people he was bothering were starting to get bothered & I had to adjust everyone to drag him up & explain that he was to stand by me and not touch any strangers. As I recall he ended up draping himself over Jack-Jack's stroller, which I believe Charming had been in up until that point (I know, weight limit much? I think the weight limit is 35 lbs on it & Charming is like 120 lbs but oh well.) So I think I shooed Charming & sat Buzz down.

Here's the two photos I got admidst the chaos: I was PLANNING on taking a bunch. But I hardly even remember the parade.

IMG_1209.jpg

IMG_1210.jpg

Then I realized the characters were loving all our kids and I wasn't getting any shots. The Toy Story characters were coming and I wanted so desperately to get great shots of Jack-Jack and them but there was just no way in the position I was & Suzy missed the whole thing because there was a float in front of her. I did get this post-moment glee:
IMG_1211.jpg

I also had a nice moment with the mom from Ohio. One of the characters bent down and ate some of her daughter's popcorn. She looked over to share the moment with her dh and he was immersed in his phone so instead I told her how awesome it was & that she had a right to tear up & feel the magic. And it was her dh's loss. We bonded.

Anyway, I would do this again. I loved both waiting for the parade & watching the parade.

Post-parade Suzy rushed over to help rescue me & Donald, and no I'm not kidding, shoved this woman out of his way. He is exceptionally patient & not at all the violent type but he had been stuck FOREVER! And even after the parade she did not move & none of our group could move at all. So as soon as the rope in front of us was gone & there was the tiniest space, Donald gently pushed her & then just shoved until he had enough space. He said she didn't even notice she was shoved. I guess if you are that clueless you are probably physically moved by strangers all the time.

So we were all back together & everyone was happy. We decided to do Pirates but there was a line & I was scared that Boo would be scared.

So we did Jungle Cruise. It was really nice & they had all new jokes which actually made us giggle a few times.

"Everyone... look away from the camera!"
102_0827.jpg

102_0828.jpg

After this we abandoned Suzy & her boys and headed to the front. They stayed & she will have to inform you of their movements. We went to the front in the Expo center (where Tony's is) and went in the back to take photos in the cool Kodak sponsored areas there.

IMG_1216.jpg

IMG_1218.jpg

It was awesome. I'll do this again if I have the time. Which really, who really ever does have the time at Disney?

After that we took the monorail to GF. And after a potty break we headed right in to dinner in the Grand Floridian Cafe. We had a lovely window seat overlooking the fountain/grassy area. I whipped out Boo's playdough & toys and my baggie of medicine which we all proceeded to take. I don't think any of us were feeling top notch and completely different things were wrong with all of us.

So first they brought us the amazing bread & butter (you can see playdough in background)
IMG_1223.jpg

Why do they insist on salting the butter at WDW nicer places? My first bite was ALL salt and then I realized my problem & scraped the salt off. And then I realized how delightful it tasted.

I had decided before ever leaving our house that I would let the big girls get Tinkerbell thingies in their drinks this first night so no one would ever ask me again. Just get it out of the way. And, of course, I wanted a girlie drink too. No clue what I got. But I didn't invent it. It was on the menu and it was FAB!

Ariel got a meal that came with chicken soup. She ate some of it but Boo & I ate the vast majority of it. Yummy!
IMG_1225.jpg

Then, as a main meal, she got chicken & french fries which we told them we were splitting between her & Boo and they brought it out already split which was super nice of them.
IMG_1226.jpg

Here is Donald and Mulan's meals. They got the same thing.

IMG_1227.jpg

Truth? I don't remember having a bite of their food. And I can't remember what they thought about it. But I know that this place went on our, "DEFINATELY" list for sure. So I have a feeling they loved it.

And here is my meal:
IMG_1229.jpg

I know, I know, it's just soup. But French onion soup is very filling and it's what I wanted. So I just paid OOP.

When the bill came it was surprising as they didn't charge for the Tinkerbell drinks.

Then, as we were leaving our wonderful server raced after us. She had asked her manager if she could give Boo a light-up Tinkerbell because she felt bad that we hadn't ordered one for her. Isn't that adorable? Of course I just hugged her & thanked her. I wasn't being a bad parent, I swear. I just knew Boo wouldn't really care about it. Which she didn't. But one of the other Tinkerbells broke so it was very nice to have a back up.

And here is Mulan's dessert:
IMG_1230.jpg

Key lime something. It was good. Donald got something too which I tasted but Donald & I don't always agree on taste buds & he ate it all up & I don't remember it and didn't bother to take a photo, so clearly it wasn't my thing.

After this I checked out the Gingerbread house. This has been on my to do list for YEARS so I was thrilled to see it and my family was patient with me while I looked at every detail.

IMG_1231.jpg

IMG_1232.jpg

Now, the structure is wood & the windows are glass, but the rest is edible. Seriously. The poinsettias which look absolutely real, they are fake. I make fake sugar flowers so this is something I not only admire but know how to make. So you know how when you basically know how to do something but see it done so super well that it just makes you admire it more, that was me.

And, if I may toot my own horn, I didn't take THAT long staring at it & admiring it.

Then we went to the potty again & got some pressed pennies and headed out to the main parking lot.

We drove to All Stars Music & I saw our room for the first time. It is at this point that I have NO IDEA what happened except to say we surely unpacked and went to bed. Was there swimming? Oh, I do remember one important thing. I lost Milo's alcohol. And learned a valuable lesson. Don't lose Milo's very expensive alcohol. Cause he doesn't drink quantity. But he does drink quality.

Ok, Suzy I'm bumping to you (and I uploaded your boat/WCC photos.)

I just re read my post yesterday and realized that I didn't post the photo of my yummy drink & the Tinkerbell thingies. So here it is:
IMG_1224.jpg

We loved Crystal Palace. Charming started ranking mashed potatoes after this and Crystal Palace stayed #1 throughout the trip.:thumbsup2 And it was wonderful that Jack-Jack slept through. I was disappointed at first because he wouldn't see Pooh but I was a single mom that day and to have the 2 yr old sleep in his stroller through lunch was a godsend.:cloud9: And he saw Pooh later in the week. We were so close to the buffet that the kids could just come and go as they pleased and we all had a great time. A couple things of note.....While we were waiting for a table to be ready, Buzz and Mcqueen walked over to the fence across the sidewalk from the restaurant to watch the "Dreams come True" show at the castle. I knew where they were and could see them. Well my buzzer went off and I went to get them to discover only Buzz!!!! Mcqueen was no where to be seen. I sat Buzz on the porch of Crystal Palace while Charming went looking for Mcqueen and I ran to the hostess and told her we'd be right there (Perla's family had just been seated so we were on our own.) Fortunately I had just bought Mcqueen a red mickey balloon and Charming spotted him within a couple minutes. He had gotten turned around and started walking the wrong way back toward Main Street instead of the Crystal Palace. But as anyone knows those couple of minutes seem like an eternity when you are searching for your kid.

On a more upbeat note. Charming enjoyed the CM at the carving station because he was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and taunted us everytime we would go up. He kept threatening to give us the bad pieces of roast and this was right up Charming's 12 yr old boy's alley.

Also, we loved Tigger here.
102_0824.jpg

Can you tell Tigger is excited that Charming is wearing Bengal stripes? They had quite a bonding experience.
102_0823.jpg

and this is not the greatest picture of the boys but you can see the savior balloon.
102_0820.jpg

The characters are so great here and so is the food we would definately do this place again and take Milo and jack jack since they missed it.
102_0818.jpg

I'll post this afternoon about the rest of our day at MK. How was my parade experience separated from the Perla???Would I be able to handle touring for an hour solo with the 4 kids???And did we enjoy Whispering Canyon??

So after Perla's family and mine went on the Jungle Cruise we separated. My ressies were 45 minutes after theirs so we had a little while before we needed to leave Magic Kingdom. So the boys and I walked to Frontierland to the Shooting Arcade. This was something that we don't usually do but I was trying to kill time with 4 boys by myself. It cost a dollar to play and they enjoyed it. It took them a while to figure out how to aim and shoot so I let them play a couple of times. Then we rode Pirates of the Carribbean and Aladdin's Carpets. Jack Jack was a little scared during POC but not really too bad and he loved, loved, loved the Carpets.:lovestruc

On our way out I had to pick up 2 more big Mickey balloons for Buzz and Jack Jack. So now we were 1 mom, 4 boys, and 3 HUGE balloons!:rotfl:

We made our way to the boat launch for the ferry to Wilderness Lodge. I had been looking forward to this since we started planning our trip. I got to eat at Artist's Point a couple visits ago but none of my family had ever gone to the lodge. I was really bummed that Milo had to miss it because I knew he would have enjoyed it. We got on to the boat and Buzz and McQueen HAD to sit up front.
102_0831.jpg

So I was just praying they would behave themselves. Especially since a gentleman behind us had already gotten yelled at by the "captain" about trying to step over the chain to get a picture of his wife. And I do mean it was a lengthy lecture about safety.:scared1: The other thing you don't see here is Charming trying to control 3 GIANT Mickey balloons in the wind!:lmao: His instructions were....Just do not let those balloons hit anyone in the head!!!
102_0832.jpg

So we got to Wilderness Lodge and Charming was quite enamoured by the steaming pool that you walk by to get inside. He loved it.

There was quite a wait to get our table. So I took Jack Jack and changed his diaper and the boys really enjoyed the lincoln logs they have set up to play with. I thought that was a nice feature for the kids.

I was disappointed in this dining experience. But in retrospect I think that I was just missing Milo (big time) and we were exhausted. We had checked in to All Stars at 7:30am, been to Animal Kingdom, lunched with Pooh and Tigger, and explored Magic Kingdom! And I knew there was still unpacking to do back at the hotel. So needless to say it wasn't the best frame of mind to really relax and enjoy dinner.

The kids did love the Ketchup antic.
102_0834.jpg

102_0835.jpg

and Jack Jack really enjoyed dumping these buckets of crayons all over the floor several times. :rolleyes1
102_0833.jpg

And the food was O.K. I really think Milo would have loved the dinner. But I just thought it was so-so.

Then we made our way back to the TTC and arrived at All Stars around 8:00pm where Perla was already unpacking and Milo was waiting for us.

Hi my name is Ty, I have just started reading your TR and wanted to say I am really enjoying it.
I was scared about getting sick for my trip too, I carried hand sanitizer with me and any time anybody in my roup would touch the rails while waiting in lin I would make them wash their hands, after an exchange of money, wash the hands, touch a door knob, wash the hands, even if I would just pick up a mug to check the price on the bottom I would wash my hands. I went through 7 little bottles of hand sanitizer on my trip but I didn't get sick, and I took airborn everyday.

I am going back to read more now.

Welcome Ty! I carried the little bottles of sanitizer too but seven is a lot! Maybe we weren't doing it enough. Course our real problem is, we were all sick before our trip. I think our best strategy is just to not go at that time of year any more as we are always all sick through November. Too much asthma & upper respiratory issues in our group to really be thinking we'll be healthy in November.

I do zinc lozenges & Zicam and I have a Neti pot but I've never been a huge fan of Airborn. I can never tell the difference with it even though people swear by it. Oh, and I like the Emergen-C too. And I take vitamin D. But don't follow any of my advice because I'm always sick! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Glad you're enjoying it. I think I'm gonna try to write more tonight. I just need to upload more photos.

I'm sorry for dropping the ball on this. Donald and I went on a little alone time vacation (amazing!) And then I've been busy. And we're making our Disney video of our trip this year and I'm putting all my efforts into that. But I haven't abandon you all. As soon as the video is done and our taxes are done (next on my list) I'll get back to this. I swear!

Yay for some alone time. I do hope you finish, I have read all your reports and really enjoyed them.

This was one of my favorite days which is weird because it ended with me at the CentraCare health clinic. But that is just par for the course in my life and I even enjoyed my health clinic run. More about that later (much later the way I'm going! ;))

It all started with an early morning walk to the bus.

IMG_1240.jpg

It was a short wait and we were ready to go. Donald's coffee there is from the resort, not me. We had finished the pot and this was his second cup. Thus you see how happy he is.

Typical Boo face this week:
IMG_1164-1.jpg

Suzy claimed that the best strategy for us at Tomorrowland would be to FP Space Mt. and rush to ride AstroOrbiter first. Since I've never ridden this ride I bowed to her superior knowledge and we did this exact plan. It's a very cool ride. Too bad it always has such a long line all day or I would have done it again. Donald is not such a fan. First, he's been stuck in the elevator for like a half hour. Then it is not exactly made for anyone who is 200 lbs +

IMG_1166-1.jpg

But we all managed to ride and I managed to take a zillion photos. And with us having to ride twice (no Boo or Jack-Jack) the kids got to have double the fun.

IMG_1173-1.jpg

IMG_1171-1.jpg

We then walked right on Buzz Lightyear. At first I was trying to actually play the game. But Boo wanted to play (Donald, Boo, and I were all together) and I was getting super frustrated. So then I decided to relinquish control to her & just look around, which I had never done before. Guess that is the nature of me, being highly competitive I've never even considered just quitting to look around. I mean, where is the fun in that? Well I'll tell you. Within 1 second of quitting I saw a hidden mickey. A really obvious one, which I had never noticed before because I was concentrating on shooting Z's. I didn't get a photo but I was really excited.

IMG_1175-1.jpg

IMG_1176-1.jpg

Donald playing, me taking photos, and Boo wondering why I am irritating her by taking a photo when she wants to play.

IMG_1177.jpg

This is the negative to giving up:
IMG_1178-1.jpg

This is a cute photo but I want to mention my outfit. I know, I know, this is being picky. I had bought this skort at WalMart on clearance. I thought I looked cute. And I certainly do look like a Disney mom. But this is the only day I ever wore it. Because when I got our photos back I thought I looked cute on all the days but this one. I just look unbelievably chunky in this skort! I know this photo that isn't too bad. I'm trying not to use any of the really bad ones. The matching t-shirts were so awesome and then my cheapy WalMart purchase had to go & ruin it for me. Dontcha just hate that?

IMG_1180-1.jpg

IMG_1181-1.jpg

After that we did the Laugh Floor. I should mention that Space Mt. continued to be broken so we were happy to have FP's in our pockets. Boo was really nervous about this one. We hadn't watched the movie much and she didn't really understand. What she did understand was the word "Monster" is BAD! But she was willing to go in and stand in line with us. So I thought we were good.

IMG_1182-1.jpg

But I was wrong. As we walked into the theater she was NOT a happy camper. Then as the show began to start she freaked totally out. I opted to go out the out "curtain" and sit in the empty hallway to see if she calmed down. Mulan ended up getting picked to be the one who wants all the attention. And their joke got picked. What kind of phone does Mike Wazowski have? Wait for it (Boo's favorite three words)...

an I-Phone!

I leave you with that and will continue with Boo & I in the next chapter.

So, Boo and I are in the hallway. She actually was ok and stopped crying and was kind of interested in the noises and laughter she could hear on the other side of the curtain. Unfortunately there was the friendliest CM EVER in the hallway. I know this is a good thing. But he took upon himself to cheer up the baby with the tears in her eyes. And he did this by doing perfect imitations of all the monsters. Now, as and adult, this seems like a good idea. But Boo did NOT think it was a good idea. She was, after all, in the hallway to escape from the scary monsters. She had no interest in the scary man imitating the scary monsters. So after a few moments of her screaming her head off and trying to claw my eyeballs out to get away from the scary monster man, I gave up & went outside.

Once outside I could not get her calmed down. So I just gave up & bought 2 cream cheese pretzels to share with all the kids.

Here I am wistfully wishing I was in Laugh Floor:

And eyeballing the crowds that were starting to arrive. It was almost 10 a.m.

The rest of the family arrives. I brought the bananas with me in my backpack:

Milo went and got his family pretzels too.

Which just a little note on this and maybe Suzy has something to say about the matter but having the two families together was both a blessing and a curse when it came to food & snack credits. It was nice because with "free food" I didn't mind just getting whatever & sharing with all the kids. The negative was that kids are kids and if someone wants a snack, everyone wants a snack even if they don't really. It ended up being fine but it was a little tricky & we maybe used the snacks a tiny bit differently than we would have normally. She had a bit trickier time than me because her family eats more than mine.

And now I have to backtrack for a minute. I forgot to post in the previous post that as we rushed to get to AstroOrbiter I wanted to pause to get a photo taken. But all the Photopass people had lines. As we were crossing the bridge I saw the spot there was empty so we popped in. BIG mistake. It is facing the brilliant sun at 9 a.m. The photos are hilariously horrible as the non-sunglass wearing kids are trying so hard to not squint but it was just not working out. Lesson learned. Skip the photopass in the am or wait for the spots that have a line.

Look at Ariel in this one:

And our second best:

Anyway, don't do this.

Other photos might be out of order too. See, we had 4 cameras plus two video cameras. And the Photopass photos. And Milo & Suzy's clock was wrong. One of our camera's clock is broken so it always says the same thing. Then Donald took them all and organized them in his Mac and did it according to time & date. Which made them terribly out of order. And since Boo was a bit crazy this trip I knew right away I would not be able to journal so I had taken photos of things in the right order to get my journal right. Sigh. Donald likes to do things the "right" way and soooo often the "right" way seriously messes me up.

Now, back to our ongoing story. We were eating pretzels and decided to continue our plan by going to opening of Toontown. I was quite concerned that Boo wouldn't ride Goofy's Barnstormer and I knew she would love it if she would just give it a try. If only.

But agrees to get in:

As did Boo:

Did she like it? You be the judge:

McQueen had spied Donald's Boat and insisted on a stop. It is super boring in November because there is no water but he absolutely insisted. Suzy, who normally is easy going despite having a schedule in her head, was a bit annoyed by this as, of course, we then promptly lost all the kids to the "glory" of Donald's boat. But once McQueen decides something, it's decided.

So after that we needed a potty break.

Then the Milo & Suzy gang and us kind of lost track of each other in the Toontown mix. They went to tour the houses and Boo was begging to do Barnstormer again. Who am I to say no? So she & I went by ourselves & had a grand time.

Then we quickly toured Mickey's house.

Donald was spending this time filming Ariel walking to Minnie's mailbox for our music video.

We then all met up at the playground. I could NOT get Boo back out of here. Period. Donald had to come and grab her and rescue me.

After this we met up to take the secret walkway from Toontown to Space Mt. This was a total highlight for Jack-Jack. Close & personal with the train:

And then it was off to Space Mt!
