My brother in law is there now as of 6:30 pm and they are not saying anything other than they have substituted taxis for the buses right now.

There is a thread over in the theme parks board with more details and links to news stories...the bomb squad has left after determining there is no danger and busing should be returning to normal if not already.

Every Disney Bus was ordered to be inspected this afternoon between 4 pm and 7 pm this evening, This meant that the Bus System was efectely shut down for part of the afternoon/evening while the buses were inspected.

There appears to be some newer information released in the case today...which leads you to wonder...is someone trying to track the bus for good or evil?

Since the device was turned over to Disney to evaluate you wouldn't want to bet that we never hear anything more about it would you? It will probably get buried like so many other things to never be heard about again.

My husband and I were just leaving EPCOT when this occurred. The Disney officials (dressed in suits) were at the exit gates and kept everyone informed as to what was going on and why. They were very professional and pleasant, and we were impressed how Disney handled the bus situation.

It turned out to be something they installed back in 98 to monitor (I think it was) tire pressure.
