I'd skip the mayo too. Most sushi rolls have various seasonings and sauces already in the roll. Using additonal Mayo isn't desirable or necessary. Depending on the roll, soy isn't always necessary either. Most people think the soy sauce is for the rice but actually soy is to season the fish...If you like spicy flavors try some of the spicy rolls...spicy crab and spicy shrimp (spicy tuna is raw so save that one for later) are usually well seasoned and if they have tempura shrimp rolls the shrimp inside have been dipped in tempura batter and deep fried beofre being assembled into your roll. Don't be afraid to ask questions of the servers. Most are happy to help people have a nice first experience with sushi and will give you good advice. Good Luck!
