Sushi

Splitsville in Disney Springs and Tokyo Dining in the Japan Pavilion in EPCOT

I second Kimonos.

Tokyo Dining is fine, but aside from the locale, many may find it similar to what they have locally available at home. Kimonos is a couple of steps above. I have to add the caveat that I have not tried Morimoto at DS. Splitsville does have some yummy, creative roll options.

Kimonos. I avoid Tokyo Dining as it is about the same as you find pre-packaged at your grocery store that was made several days ago, but that they make you think was made fresh a few minutes before.

Kimonos at the Swan. Not even a close decision.

Yes . . .

Kimonos. I avoid Tokyo Dining as it is about the same as you find pre-packaged at your grocery store that was made several days ago, but that they make you think was made fresh a few minutes before.

and yes. Kimono's hands down. Morimoto comes in a distant second. Unfortunately, Tokyo Dining sushi has gone way downhill and Kona's, I can't even call sushi.

Well I actually loved the bento at TD, And absolutely HATED the roll at CG...Besides being Waay overpriced, it virtually fell apart, while eating it...:headache:

We haven't done Kimonos, but our favorite is without question California Grill. Tokyo Dining and Kona were both good, but nothing different than we could get at home. We find California Grill to have some really unique spins on some classics and you of course can't beat the view

Pre Packaged...Really? I don't think so...

It's unfortunate. I used to love Tokyo Dining and still love the service and the atmosphere, but they whittled their sushi menu down to next to nothing. It's basically whatever you can make with salmon, tuna and "krab". It used to be our tradition to go there on the first night of every WDW vacation, but I've found I can get the same quality of sushi at the Japan QS, so there isn't really any point doing TS now.

If you are willing to spend a lot of money, go to Morimoto, sit at the sushi bar and tell the chef to make you whatever. Let him know what you are in the mood for and let him just make you sushi. May cost about $150 or so, but it will be a ton of food and will be very good.

I find all sushi is fresh in WDW due to shear volume. Best setting for sushi is a window table at Tokyo Dining, place can get loud though, Sushi is very good.
Best quiet place to have excellent sushi is Kimonos, we usually go there for sushi after 8:00 PM. Best overall sushi experience for excellent sushi is at the Sushi Bar in Morimoto's.
