My family will be at WDW next week. Over the past year we have started eating a lot of sushi but have never had/seen sushi at WDW. We would appreciate any advice on where to get sushi at WDW (and any info. on selections). We will be on CS plan, but are willing to go outside plan for good sushi. Thanks!

3 places come to mind - 2 are TS and one is a hybrid CS/TS.

Cali Grill - hands down some of the best sushi on property. They have a great sushi menu and offer several options. It can be pricey.

Tokyo Dining - neat experience with a diverse menu. The sushi is good.

Kona Sushi Bar at the Poly - this is a relatively new option. The Kona Coffee bar turns into the Kona Island Sushi bar at night. Limited menu with a slightly awkward arrangement. Walk up, order food and take it to the small sitting area. Not bad, but definitely more of a quick service experience.

Another option - Kimono's at the Swan and Dolphin. Never been, but have heard the sushi is good.

Kimono's at the Swan - I think this is the best one on property.
They have a great selection of sushi and cater to the Japanese guests of the Swan.

Also you can get certificates for $25 off $35 through restaurant.com for $2-$4
Check the budget board for info.

Might just have to wander over to Kimono's. Thanks to the OP for asking this question, as we were also wondering.

I think sushi is available at WGP Cafe. I'm pretty sure my Dh got it on the DDP.

A quick place to get sushi is at Sunshine Seasons in the Land pavilion. It comes in a to-go type box which includes a packet of soy sauce and some wasabi. I believe there are 8 pieces, but it might depend on what kind you get. It might even be a snack credit. My husband and I usually grab one and share it to tide us over until lunch, since we typically run over to the Land pavilion first thing in the morning to ride Soarin' and Living with the Land.

You can get a lot of fancy rolls at Kona, CA Grill, etc and they're good, but we found that Kimono's is by far the best real sushi on property. They had some amazing clam and scallop when we were there in March.

I would go to the Japan booth at the Food & Wine Festival if you will be there while it is open. They make excellent sushi.

I'd just like to throw out another Kimonos recommendation. It's a fun place, and they do very good sushi. You might want to go early, though, if you're not a fan of karaoke.

Does anyone know what time the earliest seating is for Kimono's and do you need reservations. Would like to try to get in around 4:00ish.

Kimonos only serves dinner - 5:00 is the earliest. My DD eats there regularly using the Restaurant.com certificates and she raves about it.
