sushi @ cali grill?

Hi, we're dining @ california grill on our next trip for the 1st time and just wondered if anyone had any sushi reccomendations? ive only tryed sushi once before and enjoyed it so wud luv 2 try some more........but wot shud i go 4? also is sushi raw? not that i mind....i just wondered? ooo 1 more question, wots sashimi? hopfully some1 can help

Sushi is not all raw and can be vegetarian; it always has rice as a base. Sashimi is sliced raw fish, no rice. The sushi you usually get can be the typical maki rolls or nigiri (a lump of rice with a topping). There are other ways of making sushi, but those seem to be the most commonly found.

I can't recommend specific items at California Grill, but hopefully someone else can.

Ok this is the one thing that DF and I both agreed was awesome at the CG. We got a sushi appetizer. It was delicious. We got the spicy sensation. It wasn't very spicy for us, but then again we're Thai so hot peppers run through our blood. But I don't think it would be too spicy for others either. HTH!

If you have an aversion to raw fish, then get the Dungeness crab roll at CG. The crab meat is cooked, and the roll is excellent.
