I never did like this guy! :furious: :

A winner of the popular reality show "Survivor" was arrested Wednesday after allegedly shooting a puppy with an arrow.

Brian Heidik, 38, was released on bond after being charged with battery and cruelty to animals.

During the bond hearing in Douglas County Magistrate Court, Heidik told a judge he thought the dog was a coyote that has been harassing his pets, WSB-TV reported on its Web site.

Douglas County Chief Deputy Stan Copeland said it was a puppy.

"At about 3 a.m., his wife called to report that he was outside and that he had shot a puppy that was on his property with an arrow and planned to shoot another one," Copeland said.

When sheriff's deputies arrived, Heidik - who won "Survivor: Thailand" in 2002 - fled in his car but was quickly caught and taken back to the home where the incident occurred.

Heidik's wife, Charmaine, and 5-year-old son were present at the home at the time of the incident, Copeland said.

Copeland said there was evidence in the home to support a charge of battery for family violence. Because the case is pending, he could not elaborate on the nature of the evidence.

Both the wounded puppy and the second puppy were turned over to animal control officials to determine who they belonged to.

Heidik did not immediately respond to a a message from The Associated Press left on an answering machine at one of two phones listed in his name in Douglasville, which is 21 miles west of Atlanta. There was no answer Wednesday afternoon at the second number.

Heidik is a former North Carolina State football player, used-car salesman and part-time actor.

Are the puppies okay?

someone in this situation needs to be shot. and it aint the puppy.

Quite odd. On a side note, wish someone had shot the deer that ran in front of my dads car tonight and screwed it up! :furious: (Well, shot it BEFORE it ran in front... :rolleyes1 )

anyone have a link to that article? I need a photo.............

What a jerk! I didn't like him on the show either.

I hope the puppy is OK.

Nice...maybe cars are the problem - not the deers.

Let's destroy more habitats and natural eco-systems though and then blame the animals as they run for their lives and as we run them over.

I am beginning to think that the experience of lying, cheating, betraying, conniving, and double-dealing for an extended period of time is not a good thing once it's all over. Ya know? Then they release these people and they go forth and defraud the government and shoot puppies.

So either these folks need to go into you-can't-act-like-this-in-the-real-world deprogramming after the show ends OR the show's producers are picking some really...messed up...people from the get-go.

Or both.

I didn't like him either! Seems like the ones I dislike the most usually win

This was the porn actor winner right? Just goes to show you that money doesn't buy class or common sense.

I disliked that whole season of Survivor - couldn't stand to watch any of them.

It's gone both ways with Survivor: Sometimes the good guys win (like Tina, Ethan, Chris, Danni, and Aras) and sometimes the bad guys win (like Brian and Ramber).

That was a really bad season of Survivor.

This was the #### actor winner right?

yep

He is a former North Carolina State football player, used-car salesman and part-time actor. Heidik's TV acting credits include appearances on "Baywatch Nights," "Doogie Howser, M.D." and the soap opera "Days of Our Lives."

His film credits under the name David Roth include "Chick Street Fighter," and "Virgins of Sherwood Forest," according to IMDB.com, the internet movie database.

I bet they are going to find the puppies belonged to his family. The article said there was evidence of battery in the home, enough to charge him. What if he was beating his wife or son, the puppies belong to them, and decides to take them out and shoot them? The wife was the one who called the cops, she was obviously not thinking the TWO puppies were coyotes.

I hated Season 5 of Survivor. Even watching the show, something about that man made my skin crawl. I didn't even watch the finale.

Or being a car salesman (IIRC that's what he did IRL )

didn't watch Survivor - is this guy mental!?!?!?!? :confused3

I have feelings about what should be done to people like this........

hope his wife and family get far away from him!!!
