Survivor - Vanuatu

Here is a bit from the People site:
I love the part about his many adventures...LOL

Jeff Probst has had many adventures as host of Survivor, such as hacking out of the Vanuatu brush, skydiving over the California desert and zooming into this season's finale on a big hog (motorcycle, that is). So who knew the biggest adventure for Probst would be embracing a new love?

Probst, 43, and Survivor: Vanuatu's fifth finalist, Julie Berry, who turned 24 Wednesday, are a couple.

OK, I think him dating someone that young is a bit wrong...

How old is Jeff do you think? I don't know how old Julie is either.

DW said Jeff was being interviewed on the radio this morning. Someone mentioned that on the reunion show Julie was sporting a tattoo that says "Jeff." Probst confirmed he was the Jeff in question, and said "I'm in love."

In the portion of the article I put on my last post it states that she is 24 (as of wednesday) and he is 43

He has also been married and got divorced in 2001.

Here it is copied in. I don't know why, but they seem like a good match to me, despite the age difference.

"Nobody is more surprised than me that I could find my love affair on a show that I host," Probst tells PEOPLE, "but the truth is when something like this gets dropped in your lap, you don't look at how it's wrapped, you don't look at how it's being delivered. You just put your arms around it and you hold on because this is my love affair and there's no question in my mind about it."

Rumors of a relationship started among viewers who noticed Berry sporting a dabbed-on heart tattoo with "Jeff" scrawled on it during one episode. "That was just harmless fun," Berry told the Portland Press Herald.

Probst concurs. "The funny thing was there was this perception we were flirting on the show," he says, "and that was actually just fun stuff on the show. I didn't really talk to Julie until long after the show was over."

After production on Vanuatu wrapped over the summer, Probst says he e-mailed Berry just to say hello. "Once we started spending some time together, I didn't have any doubt. I didn't have any doubt and all the questions about how you meet and any potential obstacles, they fade away like an old dry leaf."

Happily, Probst adds, "I'm in love. I'm with her. I'm with her family, and there ain't no turning back. When you find it, you know and now I get it. The funniest thing is people used to always say, 'you'll know,' and I'd think, 'Oh, shut it! Let me tell ya, I've been around long enough, I don't know.' And then suddenly one day, I knew. Now I am one of those irritating people that is now saying, 'you'll know.'"

Berry, a youth mentor from Gorham, Maine, is moving to California to pursue her master's degree in family counseling. Probst is in Los Angeles, having returned from shooting the 10th season of the series, Survivor: Palau.

Probst was married to psychotherapist Shelley Wright from 1996 until 2001.

Looks like flirting to me:

I don't understand why this is news.

Jeff has been known to date past Survivors before. Jerry and Jenna M. come to mind.

Big deal. Now if he were dating ME, THAT would be a big deal! Especially for my husband! LOL

LOL

I never noticed it on the show, as a matter of a fact I don't even remember her hugging him (or whatever she was doing) during that challenge.

Jeff seems to be making his way through the survivor woman, Twila and Sue Hawk better watch out!

How is that wrong???

My husband and I are 16 years apart, he is 51 and I am 35. We have been married for 12 years. We are extremely happy! I was 23 when we met.

They are only 19 years apart....

I wouldn't have guessed Jeff to be in his 40's. But then I'm terrible at guessing people's ages. Who knows if it'll last, but I'm happy for them!

I'm surprised too. I only remember one flirty instance, when she showed up to tribal council with the Jeff heart painted on her, and I just remember him laughing about that but nothing else. Jeff Probst is 14 years older than me and I've thought he was attractive since Rock n Roll Jeopardy. LOL!

On Survivor Live, Hatch directly asked Julie about a relationship with Probst and she flat out denied it. Not that that means anything........

Didn't Richard Dawson (Family Feud) marry one of his contestants?

Yes he did. She was on in 1981, she was 27 years old. He took a liking to her and asked her out. They have been married for 12 years and have 1 daughter.

Ok, here is where I freak out, I thought Richard Dawson DIED. Like, within the past couple of years. Looking up info about him marrying a contestant, I find he is alive and well.

Same thing happened with Larry Hagman, I KNOW I saw reports that he died, and yet, he was in the Dallas reunion movie. I feel like I am in the twilight zone sometimes.

When does the next season start?
No firm date that I've been able to find, but I've heard late February or early March.

My husband and I are 16 years apart, he is 51 and I am 35. We have been married for 12 years. We are extremely happy! I was 23 when we met.
Good for you! :D My Mom and step-dad are also 16 years apart. He's 78 and she's 62 and they are still going strong. They just celebrated their 27th Anniversary last month.

I watched a tv movie that was made about him. He left his wife and had at least two son (can't remember) for the younger woman. The movie did not portray him in a good light at all! I thought after watching that, that he was a jerk!

The other host of Family Feud died. Ray Combs. He was younger than Richard Dawson. He committed suicide. Maybe that's why you thought he died.

Wow. I would have never thought that Jeff was 43. He LOOKS GOOD, and HOT!
Heck I don't blame Julie. I love his dimples, and he appears to have a great personality.

I personally don't have a problem with the age thing. They are both grown adults and I hope they have a long happy live together. She sure hooked herself a hottie.
