Survivor Thailand! (Possible Spoilers)

I too was glad to see John go. Even I could feel the tension he was creating. This may be a good move for that tribe.

Ditto folks! I'm sorry the older team didn't win-it was gut-wrenching...

Yes-any team WITHOUT that Robb punk(yeah, two bs, people-short for Robbin?who knows:rolleyes: ) I am there!

Well-I guess Mark Burnett (and Peachy-do you all call Jeff Probst that too?)has me for another season-

Jed the Dentist seems nice-but that's 'cause Mark Burnett WANTS us to like him with that 1-second cut of him comforting Shii Ann...

Well, here we go-oh I also LOVE www.televisionwithoutpity.com for their Survivor recaps-can you say SNARKY??? :p

Cheers!

I'm going to be pulling for the "older" team because they seem to be the "underdogs". How terrible they must of felt when the others won - they were so close!! Can't wait for next weeks episode!!

I'm rooting for the "older" team, and I am happy with the vote tonight. I knew as soon as he took the leadership role, and distanced himself from the others that he'd be first to go! :teeth:
And, yes, Robb is a moron!

I have to admit I didn't like Robb the minute he mentioned that he tried to avoid eye contact so as not to be picked for the older team. What a moron

(Hehe! DH got dialup working for a little bit anyway. So I'm on a slow connection, but I can DIS! :teeth: )

It'll take a few episodes for me to catch the names of all the players, but so far my favorite is the black guy on "Chewing Gum". He seems very nice and very supportive, probly the most supportive of the group. Which unfortunately means he won't last too long, but I'm hoping he at least makes it to the merge.

The only two I really sorta like on the young team are the two who went to get food, or tried to anyway. The "she-devil" (I loved her comment!) and the only guy who seemed to realize, duh, they need food! Reminds me of... oh, what was his name -- Gabe? from last season?

Robb is the skateboarder who was so pushy and rude, right? The one with the black hat/cap/headthing? I didn't like him at all.

I was really sorry to see the "Chewing Gum" (anyone know how to really spell the team name?) team lose immunity. I felt sorry for G??? (the black girl who messed up the puzzle). I'm glad they didn't throw her out because of that, though. I was glad to see John be the first voted out.

How would you like to visit the "Chewing Gum" camp?!? Wow, what a beautiful camp! Complete with caves and lots of food! They've got it made :D

And I really think this season has the best logo! :teeth: I love the flame around it.

I'm ready for next week :teeth:

I could be totally off here....but I think Ted and Shii Ann have promise.

Of course, they may be the next two to go...but who knows. Last time I was absolutely sure Kathy would be booted quickly

When I first saw Robb, I said "oh geez...another Rob?" Was everyone thinking that or what?

I really liked the first show and I can't believe that there are five Texans there including three locals. I should root for Penny since she is from Plano but I'll reserve judgment for now.

Robb is a total creep and I was definitely hoping that he would be the first to go. I can't believe the way he yelled at that poor girl. I have a feeling that he may end up being the villain they have every year though.

I am not reading this post, just replying because we don't get to see the start of Survivor until tonight.....and I am so excited!!! With the very few new shows that we do get to see, they are usually broadcast here a day later.

:bounce::wave::bounce:

It took me a New York minute to see who each
tribe would boot if they lost immunity. Dsister was
over and I was explaining all the psyche to her
about why it is BAD to be the "boss". She's a
Survivor newby. I think Robb will calm down once
he's hungry. He's a mere child-swinging through
the vines and getting cranky when he loses sleep.
What was with the "young" tribe getting all
shocked when the one woman got naked for
the night time swim-heck they're on Survivor and
all crazy. How come everyone didn't get naked?
I'd have been keeping my clothes dry to keep
me warm! I'm rooting for the old tribe and my son
is rooting for the young ones-lead by Jed the old
guy from Texas(JR is what I'm calling him!).
Thus far, I like the woman who chose the tribe,
she's peaceful. John will be suprised to see that
he just PO'd everyone enough to get the votes-
he thought they'd formed an alliance-hilarious.
This was the best 1st episode I've seen! I love
their boats. How come they didn't use the boats
for some shelter?

I said "oh geez...another Rob?

LOL..... I didn't snap to that at first, but that's an interesting observation. This new one has two "B"s so I wonder if he will be twice as obnoxious as the last Rob ;)

Robb - I was thinking the same thing! This guy's a joke... I hope they use his skateboard as firewood or a chopping block or something. He was sooo obnoxious and really made me mad when he yelled at Shii Ann for getting food. Hello? How are you supposed to do well in the challanges if you Aren't Nourished?
I think the other guys ("Chewing Gum - LOL Rajah!) immediately bonded as a team and had good synergy going during the challange. I thought the big black guy (can't remember his name) was a bit harsh when Ghandia was doing the puzzle, but I think it was just a "heat of the moment" thing. It certainly didn't bother her. Voting off John was the right decision... he came off way too dictatorial, but that may come from his used to being able to lead a flock instead of being one of the sheep (so to speak). When everyone else is emphasizing "team efforts" and he is purposefully distancing himself, it's natural to save the team and not the self-proclaimed "leader." My vote would've been for him.
I'm anxious as to how the Survivors really start interacting with each other once they get settled in...

DS had a band concert last night so I had to tape it. I just finished watching it and I think that was the best 1st show ever!

Yes, Robb is a total jerk (but he'll probably stay around for awhile just like Rob last time:rolleyes: )
Ghandia did pretty much crack under the pressure...not a good thing for a "team" challenge.
Anyone know why Clay got that 1 vote?...I can't remember that they showed anything with him.
What a beautiful setting! I do think the "cave team" has an advantage in these early stages of the game.

Ah well, ....it's just nice that it started again!

Smee - One lady on Clay's team made a remark in her "talking to the camera time" about how she didn't think Clay needed the money, so she would vote for him.

I too was really hoping that the Chuay Gahn "chewing gum" lol!!!!!!! tribe would win. They had such a great lead. They got to thier spot, scoped it out, found food and made a plan. The other tribe, Sook Jai, "younger tribe" just goofed off. They ran in all different directions, not doing anything. Didn't look for food, shelter or anything. Went for a swim, which I thought was stupid and then snapped at each other the next day when they still didn't have shelter. Can we say DUH?! At least 2 of them did try to find food while Captain Skateboard (what is up with that? where does he think he's going to be able to ride that) was messing around because he wanted a floor to sleep on. The day before he wasn't to worried about where he was going to sleep when he was swinging around on the vines. Can you tell I don't care for him?

It really shocked me that they didn't have an all guys team and all girls team, guess I was one of those gullible viewers.

I thought Ghandia was a goner. I just knew they were going to vote her off because she lost that challenge for them. I guess John was more of a thorn in their side than losing the challenge was. I can understand that. He did seem to jump into the leadership position to fast and then he seperated himself when they were looking for water. Then he pulls that pratical joke with the water.

It was a great starting show. It can only get better.

Thanks, MrsAPalm! gee...that seems like an interesting way to decide who to vote off!

Can't say who my favorite is yet, I'll have to see a few more episodes. But I can say that I don't care for Rob?, the skateboard guy too much at the moment. Of course we only see what they want us to see.

Wasn't it a neat twist the way they had to choose their teams this time instead of having them chosen ahead of time. And to be the last ones picked. What a downer! But just like the one girl said, she probably needed the reality jolt of being picked last.

What a beautiful setting! Did you see the size of that snake track in the cave?

And to be the last ones picked. What a downer!
Really brought back memories of being in elementary school gym class when sides were chosen for kickball. I was always the last one picked!

And just where does Robb think he's going to use that skateboard? On the beach??!! I thought for sure that Ghandia would get the boot after she lost the challenge for "Chewy Gum." But as soon as the next segment started and they showed her crying about how she had screwed up, I knew it wouldn't be her. Can't wait for next week!

I loved this first show. Arrogance is always a killer for me--and there seems to be a lot of it on these teams! I was glad to see John go, what an insufferable jerk "she doesn't have the physical strength and obviously not the mental strength either"....argh.

Looks like this will be a great season.....I wonder if we'll have another 'tribe of love' and 'tribe of strife' like last year? It certainly seems that that's where they're headed! Anyone catch John on the morning show? I totally forgot to watch, and would've loved to see his reaction to the vote.

According to the previews that ran right at the end of the show, they're rebroadcasting this first episode sometime saturday night (for you folk who missed it).
