Survivor Thailand! (Possible Spoilers)

what? Especially Shii Ann. You could tell that she KNEW she was history if they went to tribal council. I hate it for her, I really liked her, but like she said at the end she out manuvered herself right out of the game. I think if they would have merged then she would of been safe for a while but not to the end.

I really don't like Helen. There's just something about her, but she is a good player so she probably will make it to the final 4.

I agree with the post about Brian (think that's the right one) and his KINGDOM. What crap! If anyone ever gets wind of that, he's gone.

The monkey is hilarious! And the previews show that he's even more mischevious. I know it's not funny to the tribes but to the viewers, HA!

I think another thing that will get interesting is the food. They're all together but Sook Jai still have a chicken. Hmmmmm, since there was not merge, are they going to eat that chicken in front of C G?

I agree that Brian's comments about "my kingdom" may come back to bit him in the butt.

I think Jake has a good chance to win. He is playing the game like Ethan. He is everybody's friend, and sympathetic to the "outcasts". Since he's older, he probably won't be voted off as a physical threat either. It should be interesting to see how he develops.

Brian's royal attitude reminds me of Rob from last season, the attitude that LOSES....

I was waving goodbye to Shii Ann after the announcement also. My only concern was that she had shared her intentions with her "tribe" instead of keeping it to herself. Never let the right hand know what the left is doing!

I really admired her speech about the fact that she never felt connected to the tribe and that she had no need for loyalty to people who could give a hoot about her in the first place. Heck, if I was in her position I'd jump ship, too! BUT, no one would know...

I think she played the game correctly but a bit too spitefully, and now it has come to get her.

And as for Brian, the proud shall fall and the meek shall inherit the earth!

Sooner or later their fate will be at the hands of the other tribe members so it is better to eat a meal together...strategywise.

Oh Robin you're are so right "never let the right hand know what the left is doing". OR "keep your eyes open and your mouth shut"...remember that's what Danielle from Big Brother 3 always said.

I think Brian is half tongue-in-cheek about his "kingdom", half serious. Can't decide yet if I fault him for it.

I agree Shi-Ann knew she was a goner. She knew she would have been the next one off, so was trying to save herself for a few more weeks and then start winning individual immunities. She would have been gone if there hadn't been a faked out merge - at least this way she got to go after a good three days. I think she was doing what she had to do and it didn't work for her. It would have been more stupid for her try to be loyal to people who were trying to oust her - remember Roger and the cute girl (Her name escapes me) in Australia?

It cracked me up that Penny and Erin were talking about how their vote was because "it had come to their attention blah blah blah". They were voting for her no matter what. Why be so resentful of someone's loyalty that you've been mistreating all along? - It's not like Shii had been making any promises to them. Trying to pretend that their tribe had a huge bond was silly IMO.

I was sad to see Shii Ann go- I liked her, especially the her we got to see after the pseudo-merge last night. At least her last couple of days were happy. Penny and Erin are so obnoxious- I won't miss them when they go. I wonder if these 2 teams are ever going to merge..... it's getting interesting isn't it?

BTW.... My professor watches Survivor so he let us out at 7:30 last night! Talk about lucky!!:D

Boy what a surprise they GOT! They thought they had merged! LOL! It was SOO funny when they found out it wasn't! I am glad to see Shi-Ann outta there, she was NOT one of my favorites....actually I don't really have a favorite yet.:o

Brian is very tongue-in-cheek, I did not take his kingdom comment seriously.

I was very sorry to see Shii Ann go. :( Now that they are showing Penny more, ick ick, very manipulative and Erin, well she seems like a leech. Ken has the New Yawk cop bravado thing going on. I think he voted for Shii Ann because he couldn't stand to think that someone had some power above his (since she was getting along great with the Chewing Gum ppl).

As far as next week, I think what Ken meant about "pissing where they sleep" is a reference to having to share camp with the enemy

I was not happy to see Shii Ann go, I really liked her and she was one of my picks for Ultimate Survivor, which is a pool I am in...She knew she was gone at TC and I am glad she said what she did...

I cannot stand Penny...I dont' know what it is about her, but she drives on my last nerve...I think she is very mean and I hope she is next to go...

Omg, I was laughing so hard at Jan falling into everything after drinking that wine!! Talk about embarassing!! LOL

Brian, his Kingdom words annoyed me too, although, like someone else said, I am not sure how to take that just yet...I liked how he played the game at first, but I think he is becoming a control freak as far as CG's camp goes...

The monkey is too funny!! I think he is cute! LOL

It goes to show that you have to pay attention to "everything" that Jeff says. Just like in Amazing Race, you have to read the clues correctly.

Penny probably would have been voted off had there been a merge but Shi Ann's time would have come sooner or later because she was jumping ship and both teams would have looked at her as a traitor. Even though Ken and Jake seemed to really like her they did not look sorry to see her go as they have others in past Tribal Councils. I think they should have voted Penny off but probably are counting on her vote in the future.

I saw Shi Ann on the Early Show and she talked highly of the CG Tribe. She said that she approached Ken not the other way around because she thought that it was the honorable thing to do to let him know she was jumping ship. If she had kept her mouth shut, she might have lasted a little longer, but probably not. Even if she had not told him, she had been too "friendly" with the others and was probably already under suspicion.

I thought this was a great twist--I think the producers are always thinking ahead and creating some of these twists as they go along. They said once that they'd planned to split the tribes in Australia to prevent another "Pagonging", but then they voted out Mitchell and broke that alliance and there was no need. So they saved that trick for Africa.

In this case I think they forsaw a situation, either in this series or another series, where the tribes merged and they started voting out all the strongest, and what they may have perceived to be most interesting and providing the best drama, members of the tribe. I think this was the first time that all the older members have made it to the merge and they will seen as less of threats and less targeted. So the producers added this twist to make sure the tribes had to change their voting strategy--keep their younger and stronger and more full of drama members in order to avoid tribal council. That's my theory anyway.

ON THE NEXT SURVIVOR
Tensions between the original tribes are at an all-time high. One Survivor is particularly disgusted by the other tribe's hygiene habits in their new home.

Members of the original tribes feel each other out about the possibility of alliances.

A Survivor holds a funeral for the last-to-be-eaten chicken.

Wanna bet it is Jan who holds that chicken funeral! LOL

So, who do you think gets the boot tonight?
Do you think they will maintain team immunity or will it go to individual immunity with a merge finally happening in the last half of show?

P.S. - I remember reading this thread last week and thinking some of you guys were kinda hard on Ken for voting against Shii Ann. I just know that I saw Shii Ann on T.V. give her word to Chuay Gahn tribe that she was going over to their side and then tell Ken that she doesn't know what she is going to do. So, who was the real backstabber??

Looking forward to a good show tonight...

...my eyes got a little misty...

Well, at least it wasn't Jake.:)

The crying episode.
I have to say,Erin being voted off threw me for a loop,I thought it was going to be either Penny or Jake.
I guess there won't be any more reward challenges as long as they are two tribes.

I really thought Penny was going.. I am tired of her and that wholesome smirk... and was rather surprised it was Erin... but wait.. do you think they got together and decided it would be Erin??? I am suspicious..

They did set this one up well... as a fairly big surprise when it was Erin. For a second, SSB thought that it would have been wild to have a 4-way tie, with one vote each... haha!

Trust SSB, sumpin' is coming to even the odds a bit more, between the two teams... Mark B. is the master of making certain that we DON'T know the next FEW voted off...

ISSBHO

:) :) :)

I'm thinking they MUST have discussed it. I was surprised, too. I thought it would be Penny. When vote for Ken was read, I got really nervous. Not quite ready to lose that piece of eye-candy yet!!

Gotta love that sneaky monkey! And I felt so bad for Granny as she cried while that chicken beat it's last.:(

And I hope the reward challenges aren't over....I really like them!

And it's quite a relief to me that this crew seems so healthy. That starvation thing in previous Survivors was really difficult to watch.

I thought they must have discussed getting rid of Erin too. Wonder what reason they had for voting her off?

Anyway, I was surprised it was Erin.

I thought for sure it would be Penny, especially after Ken stated she had some work to do to make up for the begining of the game. (He said something to that effect.) I don't know what he meant...

Erin was right. The game is unpredictable!

Annemarie

do you think they got together and decided it would be Erin???

I have a feeling they did. I think that is why jake seemed almost anxious to want to tell her when he was asking "would you want to know" before tribal council, because it was making him feel guilty and I think the he, Ken, and Penny wanted to say goodbye properly.

Out of curiosity, I'd like to know their reason for voting Erin off.

I'm sure that there will be more twists to this game yet. Remember, Jeff told them not to give up hope. There's something coming......
