I have watched every season of Survivor, and add me to the list of thinking Russell will definitely win if he gets to the Finals. If he doesn't it is purely vindictive on the part of the jury. Yes his game is really in your face, but he has been playing hard from the second the game started. I think what really makes him a great player (besides having the initiative to actually look for the idols) is the following:
1. He eliminates threats as soon as possible...doesn't give them time to fester
2. He realizes the value of his alliance and lets certain votes go through that may not be in his best interest to keep his alliance happy (ie Lara, Dave).
3. He actually PLAYED his idols.

After him, I think Natalie has played a great game. She is definitely not just riding his coat tails, and that may be Russell's downfall....not realizing how strong of a social game she is playing. I cannot stand Shambo and Jaison (both coat tail riders, although SHambo does do a lot at camp) and I am indifferent to Mick and Brett.

Mick is starting to really annoy me. I thought he was a cool dude but he came across as really annoying in the last few episodes, although it could be an edit job. I genuinely hate people who approach "the best playing" and continually ask them, "I just want to make sure that I'm safe right?" Play your own damn game dude!!

Since they are just now beginning to really show Brett, I think that it's possible that he may be in the finals. I don't really know much about him but he may skim through by the skin of his teeth.

I agree, and feel the same way about Jaison. He's done nothing and seems to have no strategy whatsoever.

He has to win out in the immunity challenges to make the finals. That's a tall task with the players left.

If he makes it to the end...HE WILL WIN. The jury will recognize who played the best because they are told to vote for the one who outwit, outplayed and who outlasted them all not who they liked the best.

If you have watched any of the internet clips of the Ponderosa it seems like that the former Galu members are mad at each other not Russell. I don't see how Russell doesn't win if he makes the finals.

Right. It's a given when tribes merge they are gunning for each other. You should be angrier at your alliance for not having your back.

That's right, it was downfall from the moment the voted Eric off, no more winning on challenges, only Jonh realized that Shamwow was on the enemy's side but didn't do anything about it, they had the numbers.

Tonight's the night!!!! How many are going home tonight? Are 3 going since the finale is this weekend?

I expect them to be gunning for Brett, but if he wins immunity again, Shambo will probably be next, IMO.

Brett and Mick are both pretty cute but I haven't seen either one do anything worth 1 million. Neither has Jaison although he did allude to Galu that he had a hand in every move that Russell had executed.

By the sounds of it whatever is about to happen is totally unexpected so I don't think Brett is who it will be.....Please, please don't let it be Russell. His whole gameplay from the very first day has been brilliant and he does deserve to win as he has definately outwitted, outplayed and hopefully outlasts everyone else!

I agree that Russell has played a stellar game, but I want someone, anyone else, to win this game just to show that you don't need to be that conniving to win Survivor.
