~ SURVIVOR Samoa ~ Season 19 ~

So the big question is what will happen next week? I think that some scheming will begin within the Foa Foa 4. Mick began to realize that he isn't going to be taken into the finals with Russel, so he realizes that some type of scheming with Galu may be necessary. This is the 3rd stage of Survivor IMO (the first two stages are pre merge and immediately post merge). It's always exciting in this stage because people start turning on their friends and everyone becomes paranoid.

I'm still rooting for Natalie. She is my favorite. She doesn't get enough credit. Remember that she was the reason Erik got voted off. She was the one who planted the seed that caused Galu to rot. Natalie and Russell are most deserving of going to the finals in my opinion because they have done the most to keep Foa Foa, the underdogs, alive.

Mick and Jaison had their chance, but they are affraid of Russ. I like Natalie too, she does more than Shambo.

There has been so many seasons now, it's hard for me to remember some but most of the time doesn't the one who does the most scheming and directing things end up voted off by the time it gets to the last three or four? I can only remember one, I think his name was Brian and was a salesman of some sort that lived here in Texas, that ran the show and actually won. Was there anyone else, that is besides Hatch?

You are correct to an extent. When you say the most scheming, it would mean the most publicized scheming. Which, in this show, is Russell. Mark my words RUSSELL WILL NOT WIN THIS SEASON. There is no way that he can beat anyone left on the show when brought before the jury. He couldn't even beat Shambo.

In my opinion, the winner of the season is always the best at scheming. They are the ones who know how to balance their scheming so they don't seem like an ****** to everyone on the jury, yet they aren't too reclusive to be voted off early. In my opinion, Natalie is playing the best game by far right now. She is the only member left on the show that is liked by BOTH tribes. You could argue Jaison and Mick, but Galu has already said that they don't like Mick. And Jaison made a slimy move by telling the Galus how much Russell made, which will make him look less respected in their eyes. He played the money card wayyyyy too early. He should have waited until the end.

Russell, in my opinion, is NOT playing the best game. He is being way too agressive to be voted the winner in the last episode, hence he is not playing the best game. Monica, as much as I dislike her, was completely correct that the only reason Russell was there is because he is surviving on hidden immunity idols. Yes, that's part of the game, but, as Jaison said, that won't get you anywhere on day 36. Russell is playing a great game to get to the final two. He has insured that he will get there. But he has also insured that he will not win against his opponent in the final vote.

Survivor is about winning, not being 2nd. Russell has forgotten that, and that is the flaw in the way he plays the game.

My prediction is that it will be Russell and either Natalie, Jaison, or Mick in the finals. Russell loses against any of those 3.

That does make senses, i keep telling dh that it would be hard for russ to win,but we will see. btw, it ws funny whe natalie hung her undies on the tree.. Haha

My PSA for the day - The finale is on Sunday December 20th!

RUSSELL WILL NOT WIN THIS SEASON. There is no way that he can beat anyone left on the show when brought before the jury. He couldn't even beat Shambo.

If he makes it to the end...HE WILL WIN. The jury will recognize who played the best because they are told to vote for the one who outwit, outplayed and who outlasted them all not who they liked the best.

I'm on Team Natalie!

I think I'll be happy to see any of the Foa Foa Four win, but I have to say that when I saw Natalie bop that rat on the head and then bring it home to camp to eat, I was EXTREMELY impressed by her! :thumbsup2

My two favorites are Russell and Natalie, so I'd like to see them in the final two.

I don't agree. I believe that he has completely controlled the voting in this season; even when he hasn't been in a power position. I don't know if he will make it to the end but I have a feeling that he will win the immunities when he needs to.

Same here... I used to hate her, then I started to just like her but then she wacked the rat, impressive for sure!

Agreed - I never hated her, but began the season thinking she was a sweet, pretty face riding on Russell's coat-tails. Whacking the rat, doing her part in the merge turnaround strategy and then keeping up with Jaison (who had an enormous advantage on the weight challenge)TOTALLY impressed me! If she makes it to the final two, I think anyone would have a difficult time defeating her, including Russell.

But that's the fun part of Survivor: :goodvibes the mindset of the jury is also a wild-card. Some hold grudges; but sometimes they recognize strategic gameplay even if they were the recipient of a blind-side orchestrated by the winner.

This is what I like about this show, you just never know. I cannot help but think that I would let Russell stay to the end. He really is not liked even though he seems to be able to control the vote. He is not good at challenges. I don't think he can sway the jury members, he seems to be able to insinuate his control on snippets but that opportunity would be gone. I cannot see Shambo getting the vote if she goes to the end, she is very polarizing lately.

I'm so glad Monica is gone. She thinks way too much of herself.

At this point, I'm rooting for Russell. He has by far outplayed every person this season and has made it so entertaining to watch. If he can make it to the finals, I think he will win.

Is this the first season of Survivor you have ever watched?

Russell may win but not everyone on that jury will vote for him because of his ability to outwit, outplay and outlast everyone else. Backstabbing, deception, arrogance, etc aren't qualities that all people see as deserving of winning even of thats what takes you to the final 2. Some people would definitely not vote for him because they just don't like him.

By the same token, there have been many times when I would swear that somebody on the jury would never vote for this person or that person because of the backstabbing and lying done to them, but then they do. The point is, you just never know. I've been watching since season 5 and there has never been a final tribal council when I haven't been completely shocked about how some of the votes went.

Oh I know but that poster assumes that the jury will vote for him for the reasons stated because they are told to do so, and we all know thats not how it works :thumbsup2

In defense of Russ, more often than not, the jury votes for the player who has outlasted and outwitted, hurt feelings are put aside. Also, people are going to ask Russ some hard questions and we will answer them probably more truthfully than any person in Survivor history, which will also garner him a little goodwill.

As far as voting Russ out, he still has the immunity idol which he won't hesitate to use if necessary.

I have watched every season of Survivor, and add me to the list of thinking Russell will definitely win if he gets to the Finals. If he doesn't it is purely vindictive on the part of the jury. Yes his game is really in your face, but he has been playing hard from the second the game started. I think what really makes him a great player (besides having the initiative to actually look for the idols) is the following:
1. He eliminates threats as soon as possible...doesn't give them time to fester
2. He realizes the value of his alliance and lets certain votes go through that may not be in his best interest to keep his alliance happy (ie Lara, Dave).
3. He actually PLAYED his idols.

After him, I think Natalie has played a great game. She is definitely not just riding his coat tails, and that may be Russell's downfall....not realizing how strong of a social game she is playing. I cannot stand Shambo and Jaison (both coat tail riders, although SHambo does do a lot at camp) and I am indifferent to Mick and Brett.
