I cannot wait for the premier. Survivor is one of the few shows that my husband and I both actually watch! My daughter always watched with us but she is at college now so we'll have to e-mail about the episode the next day.

One of this season's contestants is from Campton NH which is pretty near to me. So we are already rooting for her even without knowing her!

WOO HOO!! I'm in! I searched the DIS last night to see if anybody had already started a Survivor thread, and it didn't find this one. Go figure.

anyway, I'm a Survivor fan from Season 1, and I can't wait! I'm rooting for Russel (the black guy) since he grew up in Pittsburgh, and the rocket scientist, only because I want to see him have trouble starting a fire. (All the "you don't need to be a rocket scientist to know that" jokes, tee hee!) The female Marine sargeant should be interesting, too.

Oh man....I am trying hard to keep this BUMPED UP!!! I am so glad you actually did end up finding us!!! Now that we are getting closer to the SEASON PREMIER...I will look to keeping this on the first page of the CB!!!!!!!!!

I am so glad to have found this thread! I am a huge Survivor buff -no pun intended- and my family and I have been avid watchers of this show and have never missed a season! I am so thankful that it is still on the air. We get really involved in it

So is the only known change so far the amount of castaways?

I don't know if it was earlier in this thread or on the Survivor website, but I read that "without speaking" each tribe has to choose one person to be their leader. And we all know that the leader usually ends up with a big target on their back........

I watched the season finale of There Goes The Neighborhood and Survivor is really playing up how "evil" Russell is. I hope he's around for a long time just for the drama factor.

You sound like my old college roommate. Heads would roll if oyu called her during Survivor. I made that miskate once and got yeld at Although a few seasons ago that was DH and I.

Whoa! Did you guys see the videos on the Survivor website about Russell H? He's supposed to be the biggest villain they've ever had - even worse than Johnny Fairplay! Check them out: Evil Russell.

He's dumping their water and burning their socks at night! I can't believe nobody noticed. Of course, with the editing, maybe somebody DID notice and they're plotting their revenge??

Should be a good season! Unfortunately, I'll have to tape Thursday's episode, so I won't be able to discuss it with you all until after I watch it Friday night (darn high school football!).
