Survivor: Palau...official Thread

Me too, me too! I was elated Tom won......I was pulling for him all along.

Katie, blech, Me, me, Me, Me, me, ME. So annoying and the faces she was making when the jury was questioning here, it was as if she was thinking, "Who are YOU to be questioning ME." Umm that's what they are SUPPOSED to do. I really wish Ian wouldn't have done that. I wonder how he feels now.

I think so..but I'm a little prejudiced. ;) But I think Tom would have out-talked Ian to the jury and won it all. Ian was just way too wishy washy and naive to win (and I really had enough of his crying!)

Oh man, the jury would of made mince meat of Ian. All they would of had to do was confront him about a lie he told, and he would of dug a big hole for himself.

He has to be one of the worst liars. It's a good thing. He obviously does not make lying a part of his life on a regular basis!

I was REALLY disappointed in Ian's decision on the final immunity challenge. It just plain didn't make sense when you are playing a game to win. So what if he had some tough explaining to do to the jury....jeez, that's part of the game. In my opinion, Ian turned out to be very immature and just plain goofed. I hadn't seen the last 4-5 weeks, so the final show was a fresh view for me and my opinion of Ian changed alot during the show. I'm glad Tom won. He certainly knew how to play the game. And as far as Katie and her "strategy".....no way did she have one :confused3 . It all came down to luck in the fact that Ian rolled over big time. :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

My son (age 17) said the reason Katie didn't answer Janu's question was because she probably doesn't know what an adjective is!!!

Maybe this is crazy, but I'm wondering if maybe Ian knew he wasn't going to be able to hang on any longer (he didn't sleep the night before) and made that deal as a long shot, hoping that Tom would then respect him and take him along instead of Katie after all. Ian didn't know that there wouldn't be a tribal council and a little time for some words and thinking beforehand.

Other than Clay, I think she was the dumbest player to ever get so far in the game. :sad2:

No, I think the dumbest player to ever get that far would definitely have to be Lil.

I may be in the minority, but I didn't really care for Tom. I guess I was just so frustrated because it felt like he was in control of the game the whole time and no one could come up with a plan to do him in.

I thought last night was anticlimatic. It was a shoo in that Tom would win. I'd much rather have see Tom and Ian in the final two even though we know that Tom would come in first.

Do you really think that Tom actually forgave Ian? I mean, at the final TC he said a couple of things that led me to believe that he hadn't. And I didn't see him and Ian get very friendly up there on stage.

I thought there was an alliance between Tom, Ian, Katie and Stephanie to go to the final four. But all we heard last night was that he told Stephanie that he would take her as far as he could. That's not what I remembered.

Tom may have played the game well and won but my favorite was Stephanie.

I'm another one who agrees what Ian did was a huge mistake, but I do not believe he would have beaten Tom, but I do think he would have beaten Katie. Had Ian won that challenge (and he may well have), I'm sure he would have picked Katie, thereby assuring his million dollar win. I'd be kicking myself if that was me ;)

I couldn't believe Ian did that! :confused3 As someone mentioned earlier, I don't get how someone you've known for 30 days can take that much importance in your life? What about your family and the people counting on you back home? He absolutely threw away a million bucks. He would have taken Katie for sure...he was so whipped. And he would have won over her.

I'm glad Tom won...he played a good game.

No, I don't think so. Tom actually gave Ian another chance right before he was voted off. Tom asked when they were all standing in front of Jeff if Ian was sure he wanted to do it and Ian said "yes".

My big question is, since Ian didn't vote for Katie exactly who do you think he jumped off for? Tom or Katie?

I'm glad Tom won too; it's the first time I think that one of my favorites has made it as the winner. :flower:

i think Ian jumped off for Tom so Ian would have Tom's respect and real friendship back...possibly lol :)

After seeing how close Coby and Janu are, I'm really surprised he voted for Katie after the way she refused to answer Janu's question. That really was complete disrespect towards her.

This was a great Survivor series. Some very good players and some really pathetic eye rollers :sad2:

I had a lot of fun watching these episodes.

Now, I wait till September!

Please tell me. Does any one have the tally of who voted for who?

I'm thinking the vote was 6 - 1. If Katie had more votes, I'm sure Jeff would have read them to make it more suspenseful. The fact he only read one, makes me think she only got the one.

Didn't they also say on the morning show that it was 6-1? Didn't see the morning show, but I read that somewhere (earlier this thread??)

Looks like next season should be interesting... I guess it will be more land-based... I've always wondered why they always chose islands and beaches! Why not the desert or the arctic! :cool1:
