Survivor: Palau...official Thread

My BF is absolutely in love with Steph, and I can totally understand why. The girl is an animal...definitely a force to be reckoned with. Plus, she's a transplanted Jersey Girl! I really hope she wins the whole thing, since this is the first time I've ever watched Survivor and I really like her.

If it's still "tribe vs. tribe" next week...I bet Koror (ie - Ian/Tom) will put up Katie against Steph...and have Katie throw the challenge and lose.

so Steph (their 4th in their final 4 plan) will be around still.

how ya like THEM apples!

I just wanted to say I thought Bobby Jon was very gracious in his "farewell". Very classy! :sunny:

Jennifer S: DH and I said the same thing; we were so glad that Jeff didn't say "the Tribe has Spoken", because like he said, it didn't! There was no vote, so therefore Bobby Jon did not get voted off. That's got to be the first time that's ever happened, right??

I think it is the second time it has happened. I watch way too much reality tv, so my memory may be a bit fuzzy. A few seasons back didn't Osten quit at tribal council. I think when they were talking at tribal council he practically begged his team to vote him off. Jeff got p-offed and said there was no need to vote if he was quitting. I don't think they said the whole tribe has spoken line because he quit.

You are correct - No "the tribe has spoken" - Jeff just said something & let Osten's torch fall to the ground.

When Osten quit didn't Jeff just say something like "Osten, go home!" I remember it was a great moment!

Ok, I didn't know that! We haven't watched every season of Survivor. We watched the first 2 seasons, and then we watched the All Stars, and since then.

I remember him saying something about Osten not *deserving* the "honor" of the tribe speaking or something. I do know he didn't put the snuffed torch in the stand with the others, he threw it to the ground if I recall.

Well, the way that Coby was talking about those useless women on Koror. I thought he was going to throw his challange so that one of them could be voted off. I guess not.

Sad to see Bobby Jon go. It just really stinks that there are people on Koror who should not be there any more, and then we have Ulong who had to vote some people off who should have lasted loger than they did. UUGGHH!

I just hope that after this Thursday, Steph will still be around. I'm hoping that she will just have a day by herself, and then Jeff will show up in his boat and take her over to Koror. Hay, one can hope can't they?!

But if that happens, then those useless women are going to see how useful Steph is, and will really see her as a threat.

I'm not totally happy with the "aliance" that Ian talked about. I like the fact that Steph was talked about, but I don't think that Kate should be a part of it. She really hasn't done anything to be in the final four. But who know maybe if Steph can survive what ever they throw at her next week and makes it to Koror, then maybe she can make some changes to that "aliance."

The dynamics are just so off here with the teams gone--The jury will be different and the Merge won't really be a merge...I odn't know...it seems wrong somehow to me, that maybe that shoudl have twisted it a bit awhile back to keep this from happening--I don;t think I am going to like the way it pans out in the end...GO STEPH

Survivor: Palau - Thursday, April 14, 8PM ET/PT.

One Survivor struggles to endure a hard night as life on the island becomes tougher this deep into the game.

Well, we all know who this is. It's Steph. From the commercials, it looks like she is going to have a hard night. I even heard her say something like, she was not going to go to sleep. If that is true, thats a bad move. Because if they have her go up agains Koror, Koror will pit her against Tom. She is going to need evrything she has to beat him. But I also saw a commercial with Steph in the boat, and it looked like she had some stuff from camp in it with her...like the Home Depot tool kit. So MAYBE she will be moving to a new beach before the end of the show. HOPE SO!

After being excluded from a tribal excursion, one Survivor throws a tantrum.

Saw this in a commercial, it's Coby, from Koror. It looks like Tom, Ian and Greg (I think) will go out and do something, and Coby is not asked along.

One tribe enjoys a memorable evening, especially for the member who overindulges a bit.

Well, seeing how they are talking about more than one person. I guess Koror will win reward. But I can see one of the women overindulging a bit. 'Specialy seeing how they really don't have to worry about doing any challanges. When was the last time one of the Koror women did a challange anyway?

Well, here's hopin' that Steph beats the odds, and is able to stay for another three days. I am really hoping that she will not be alone on that island for the rest of the game. And that she is finally moved in with Koror.

I know the article in this week's TV Guide *must* be wrong because it talks about pitting the teams together to build a tower and shows Tom & Greg working together. Surely they aren't going to make Steph face the whole tribe! Or maybe it speaks of things to come....... like individual challenges!

I will try and copy & paste this...

I don't think that challange will happen tonight. But I think that it will be happening next thur.

I think it's intusting that they are talking about teams. Maybe they are now on one beach, and then they break up the Koror tribe. Only time will tell.

Or maybe they're bringing back Wanda and that other guy who was ousted. It would be cool if they did that this week since there was no indication of a "surprise". You know how they always say something "shocking" is going to happen and then either everyone guesses what it is, or it's really not so shocking after all.

I've decided that if ever I would have done Survivor this should have been the year. I could easily been one of the women on Koror. Do an occassional challenge and then just set around on my butt for days on end. Wow, that is easier than being in the real world.

I suspect the challenge shown in geetey's pics is oen of those multi-step elimination type challenges. you know, where they're in teams of 4, then the group that wins competes as teams of two and so forth. In the end, it's an individual reward or immunity. Generally, teams/pairs are randomly assigned--a team of Greg and Tom would be tough to beat.

I agree, I could handle hanging around a beach and not competing, so this would be the Survivor for me. OTOH, though, I get sun poisoning and I'm deathly afraid of snakes, so I would be the one begging the rest of my team to throw a challenge so I could leave already! Guess it's just not the game for me--but I'd love to see DH compete (not afraid of anything, but he'd be the one getting the boot for bringing "Robert's Rule of Order" to camp and yelling at people for speaking without raising their hands!)

It must be a sickness (my sickness!)... :sad2:

I have been doing some major surfing and found a spoiler about tonight's episode. It appears that the pictures from the TV Guide are from next week's episode. Sorry about the confusion! :confused3

Not sure how or if I should post it because someone complained about getting it in their email notification. Okay I will try to post this far enough down the page that it won't be on the email notification...

This is from another board.....
The Immunity Challenge is an endurance challenge where they are instructed to stand atop a raised piling of some kind, speculated to be over water.(The background in the vidcaps looks very similar to the cliff shores with vegatation overgrowth that surrounds challenge beach.) Last Survivor still standing wins immunity. Thanks Bianca for confirming this! I sure hope that Jeff is there to taunt them and tempt them with all kinds of goodies, but I suspect the food temptations would be more associated with a RC than an IC. We’ll see! (AND, will there be any NUDITY???) Endurance challenges have favored women in the past, remember Kelly, Kim, Lil, ShiAnn, and Twila? Some speculate that mama Caryn may outlast Tom, but judging by the look of this cap, most peeps are speculating Tom as winner.
Tom, the strongest alpha male, wins the endurance IC. Coby has been shown to be the most threatening in the puzzle department, he’s big and strong, and he is more conniving than all of them out there…Coby is toast! Poor Coby, his whole life he was always the one left out, perhaps he and Rupert can compare notes?(Fear not Coby, look what Rupert ended up with!

) Janu will just have to bear 3 more days
