Survivor - Most annoying cast ever??

Aren't the annoying ones fun to watch though? I guess I'm the only one, but I still love the show. Even though Judd was familiar with the game and calculating with his plan for him and Jamie to make it to the end so that the jurry would easily pick him over Jamie...the tables turned on him and that is what still makes the show interesting to me. I don't think it's that predictable for them or us, and each season is different...the tribal councils seem more heated this time. I did hear that Jeff is leaving, so that may be it's demise.

As far as the conditions go, I think it's a lot more difficult than we think. I tend to forget how hot or cold, hungry and miserable they are until they talk about it, sort of like when I see a picture of us smiling on vacation and we look so happy and content, and I think huh? It was about 100 degrees and ds had just been a brat, but look at us, LOL...I don't think we always get to see the big picture if that makes any sense.

This is actually one of my favorite casts in quite a long time (since Season 7, even though I disliked Rupert)

When the survivors are being annoying and trying to stir up trouble, thats when I think the show si the most interesting. Sure, we may be sick of stephanie talking about nothing but herself, or sick of Judd being Judd, but we don't want to be left with a final 4 full of Cindys (who????) I've enjoyed this season quite a bit.

Now, Season 5 (Thailand) is pretty much hated all around. I thought it was all right. I actually liked Batty granny Janny, imo, she was one of the most hilariously insane contestants ever. I also loved Shii Ann and was glad she was invited to participate in All Stars.

Season 3 is an interesting case. I honestly beleive if that cast was anywhere else, it would have been a better season. But with no water, harsh conditions, and almost being stuck in their camp area, it made them a very dull group.

Now, my vote for worst cast ever will be for Vanuatu. Chris was the winner, how many people even remember that? I have a pretty good memory for most of the seasons but for some reason it fails me when it comes to Vanuatu.

Slacking - I thought I was the only one who didn't like Rupert. I got sick of him midway through his first season, and couldn't stand the sight of him by the time All-Stars ended. Then they added the special "vote Rupert a million dollars" clause at the end of the season. Blecch!

And I agree with you on Vanuatu; that was awful. It's an example of what I was saying about alliances. In this case the boring men got together and voted off the more interesting men. The women formed some sort of coven and got rid of the survivng boring men. Then there was a twist, but too late to salvage the season.

But I have to disagree with you on Shii Ann. She was a dud in Thailand, and a bigger dud on All-Stars.

I'll have to vote for Richard Hatch as the most annoying to me. He still bugs me when I see him.

I have another question, but I definitely don't want to start a new Survivor thread about it. However, since this thread was just started and since I was thinking about it just this morning. . . Why do none of the women ever have hairy underarms :confused3?

YES! Johnny Fair Play!! He was the absolute WORST!!! Disgusting, unscrupulous, full of himself and depraved. ( :cold: shudder) Then they cast him on "Reality Kills" and he was even worse!! YUCK!

I just thought of that last week!! Guess they only do without what won't cause Americans to get grossed out!

Thailand (season 5) and Vanuatu (season 9) IMHO are the worst ones. I hate it when reality shows do men vs women. I much prefer the teams to be mixed with both men and women.

I hated the one when they were all friends - touchy-feely - if you were being voted off, you knew it. I also have a Survivor winner from my state (Tina Wesson) who I feel stayed below the radar to win.

I could see Judd and one of the slacker girls somehow ending up in the final 2 and him winning, like Richard Hatch did.

"Johnny Fairplay" That lower than a snakes belly, buck toothed creep!

I think the problem isn't so much that the viewers are too familiar with the show, but that the contestants are so familiar with it. By now, everyone knows that if you can form a strong enough alliance you can pick off the rest. So after a few episodes a dominant alliance takes shape, and there's a series of shows with no suspense at all. Like the last show; it was obviously the end of Gary.

I agree, most seasons now follow the same formula. I enjoy watching those who are outside the dominant alliance try to lure the weaker members of that alliance over to their side and swing the power in their direction.

In the current season, I thought Gary/Danni/Brandon/Bobby John did a poor job of this! I think Rafe, Lydia & Cindy could have been convinced to switch teams right after the merger. At that time Stephenie, Judd & Jamie were tight and seemingly controlling the alliance. I thought they could have convinced at least one of those three (Rafe, Lydia & Cindy) that they couldn’t hope for anything better than 4th place if they stayed with Steph/Judd/Jamie.

Also, I can’t understand why Gary didn’t “tattle” on Judd for lying about the location of the hidden immunity idol sooner. Or, use it to as leverage to blackmail Judd, who was a little shaken already after being left out in the decision to vote off Jamie.

I had hoped that Gary would expose Judd right after they got back from TC the night he used the idol, or that he would have gone to Judd before last week’s TC and said, “if you don’t vote for Stephenie, I’m blowing the whistle!”

I cast my vote for all the season but season 1 it was interesting becuase no one had done anything like it before after that one though it is all down hill and crap AFAIAC.

I think season 5 was the WORST. What a bunch of nutcases.

I am getting disappointed with Stephanie as well. I liked her alot and was really cheering for her..but now.. seems like she has her head stuck in a deep dark place. ;)

I knew Gary wasn't going to make it much further..too much of a threat. I have a feeling it will be Rafe or what is that other girls name??? Cindy? They just seem to be flying under the radar so much.

Lydia.. I keep waiting for someone to offer her cheese to go with her whine.

I think the most deserving to-date is Cindy and then Rafe. Rafe is a much bigger threat than anyone gives him credit for. I did like the fact that he was able to persuay a few to vote off Jaime. It shows that he has a rough side. And Jaime (being the unscholar that he is) blamed Lydia.

Seph has to be the next to go. It would be very sweet to see her voted off. She is not deserving of the $$$.

Danni is also a good player - I would like to see her bond with Cindy and straighten the minority vote.

Judd - he should have been voted off weeks ago. But then again, he's the comic relief. :teeth:

About my like for Shii Ann, I liked her because she wasn't afraid to stir things up, but was at most times a fairly smart player. In her original season though she made a huge mistake and that was believing the two tribes merged. She went off and started making deals with the other tribe which was the smart thing to do until she found out there was no merge and her tribe went and voted her off. Stupid move in the end, but was highly entertaining to watch.

Then in All-Stars she got as far as she could have against Romber and pals. She stirred things up when she kenw she was gone and she looked like she had fun doing that. And I had fun watching her. But she showed us how astute of a palyer she was when she announced that she was voting for the person she thought was going to win if nothing was done about it. Her vote? Amber. The eventual winner? Amber.

I know I'm in the minority, but I've always been a big Shii Ann fan.

But glad to see that I'm not the only one who hated the "Lets give Rupert a Million Bucks because we love him" Special.

I agree with all of this!

But I think the all time worst cast was that season whatsisname won. And if you said his name, it wouldn't sound familiar...he/the show were that dull. It was the season when it came down to a bunch of women and this one guy. :confused3

That was cool!!! It got down to just him--and he took it. Classic survivor moment. :smooth:

No idea why they don't have underarm hair at all.

And do they still have luxury items---or have those been ditched permanently since Pearl Islands?
