Survivor *Cagayan* BvBvB Next Wed 2/26!

I disagree, I don't think Tony is very much like Russell Hantz at all.

Both make a lot of mischief but Russell was malicious and egotistical and Tony is neither of things. I didn't think I would like Tony based on his pre-season interviews but his enthusiasm for the game has won me over. :thumbsup2

I may be wrong, but I think the all powerful hidden idol is out of play until Spencer plays the one he has.

Even if that is the case, no one knows that he had it so why aren't they out looking for it?

I fully expected to see Tony and Spencer looking for a clue at the reward.

They may have been out looking for it, but remember, so much is edited out by CBS, we only see what they want us to see.
Past players complain about the endless hours of complete boredom, while we watch, and it looks like lots of action going on all the time.

Betcha LJ is wishing he had at least considered speaking to Tash when she asked him to.
Wonder if there is any hankypanky going on at Ponderosa.

In the first episodes, I thought Tony was going to be a great player, snake in the grass. But the past, I want to say at least three episodes, he is less of a snake and more of a big ape, just making lots of noise and throwing poo around. :rotfl: He is rattling the cage too early in the game, IMO.

Oh my gosh, I was screaming at the TV "give the idol to Jeremiah!" But alas, Spencer doesnt have the ability we have to see the big picture that is unfolding.
Got to give it up to Tony. He found that idol with no clues whatsoever, just a will to win. If he is not blindsided twice, he is the winner if he knocks off Tasha and Spencer.

At every Tribal Spencer comes across as an idiot, he takes things way to personal.

If the remaining players were smart they would call Tony on his idol. He said it was a fake and then put it back on his bag. Make him take it out and throw it away if it's a fake.

I don't like that they can find these idols without the clues, they should make them harder to find.

I became cynical in the Russell Hantz days when he kept finding idols. This is just too "convenient" that Tony found the "double secret probation" idol without any clues or help. He just randomly dug in a spot and it was there??? Nope, not buying it.

I REALLY hate that Tony has that special idol. He thinks he's so smart and so above everyone.... but look up "oaf" in the dictionary, you'll see a picture of him.

It'll be interesting to see if Spencer does talk him into paranoia, like the coming attractions suggest. But isn't Spencer supposed to be some amazing strategic chess whiz? So far, he's been like, Oaf Part II. I mean, hello? It was obvious from what Woo said at tribal (about figuring out which one might have the idol) that they were going to vote for Jeremiah. I don't even think Jeremiah can spell "idol."

Last week, I said that Tony was winning me over with his enthusiasm for the game. This week, I find myself getting a little bored with "The Tony Show." His shenanigans are fun to watch but it's not good, solid, strategic gameplay. They are talking about him winning the game at Tribal Council and they don't even know that he has the super idol. As comic relief, he's great but I do not want to see his antics rewarded with a check for a million dollars.

I could be that I just don't like the idea of the new super idol. The regular idol was powerful enough. Now that it's in Tony's hands I just want to see it out of play as quickly as possible.

You guys are giving Spencer way to much crap for playing the idol for himself.

Look at the situation:
1. We never know what the editors did. Sure, Woo's comment made it look obvious that they were going Jeremiah, but we only saw about 10% of Tribal council. Lots more could have been said.
2. If Spencer plays it for Jeremiah and he is correct, they knock out Woo. What does that do? It means they are still down 4 to 3, and the other group of 4 is still strong (or even stronger, now that they are only up 4 to 3). He would be toast next week. If saving Jeremiah would have made it 3v3 or flipped the numbers, you may take that risk.
3. If he played it on Jeremiah and he was wrong, his game is over. That's worst case scenario.

Give Spencer some credit. 90% of the time, in that situation, making sure you preserve yourself is the best move there. The numbers weren't going to flip in their favor even if he had saved Jeremiah, therefore, just preserve yourself.

I was cracking up at Jeremiah's big "reveal" that he is a model. I loved Spencer's commentary on it as well, that it was typical of the beauty tribe to think that being a model was something that required a shocking announcement. LOL!!!

He had a 50/50 shot and guessed wrong. But, MAN was I ever hoping he'd guessed right.

Love the Jefra/Woo comment upstream. Yeah, that kid would have a double dose of the stupid gene ::yes::

I know, right? It was rather comical bc I didn't know that was something being kept hidden, and what did he think hiding and then revealing that information do? I mean, he was on the beauty tribe anyway, so it wasn't much of a stretch.

And Tony.....ugh I can't stand him. He thinks he some amazing going-down-in-history player, but he's really not. Whether he makes good moves and strategies or not, it's overshadowed by his attitude, the way he thinks he's just above everyone else. He's just waaaaay overconfident.

Actually my husband and I both thought Spencer was brilliant at tribal. He let the other alliance know that if they keep Tony too long and Tony is in the final, Tony will win. And it was great that Jeremiah and Tasha (? why am I blanking on her name?!) agreed and spoke up. That other alliance does need to get rid of Tony. None of them stand a chance to beat him in a final two or three.

I also dislike him. His nerves get the best of him, like last night when he pulled out the idol. I hope he leaves soon, but I'm doubting he will.

Spencer's strategy at Tribal wasn't new, it's been used before.

Let's face it. The down in history player that nobody could ever top was the first winner.

So Tony has an idol he can play even after the vote?
So that means hif he manages to keep his alliance together he is guaranteed into the final 3

Can't stand him either!!!!!

Basically he will make the Final 3, UNLESS he doesn't bring his idol to tribal by some chance!!!! Which would be AWESOME!!!

That idol is kind of dopey, not to mention for the most part he wil almost get to pick who gets the boot.
