You know, as I read these posts, it occurs to me, we are all right..........they cannot be that stupid, no one can. That has to mean there is a really strong alliance / plot, that we have not been shown one speck of.

Perhaps Rupert and Tom? It would make sense. They are both strong and have a good chance of winning challenges. I suspect they each might see the other as someone they would be comfortable going up against. It is entirely possible they have been plotting all along and any trace of it has been edited out.

I just cannot believe they could be stupid enough to think Rob would take any of them to the finals.

Anyone else have any other ideas?

No, if Big Tom and Rupert had an alliaince, Rupert would not have left him with the cold potatoes and Tom would not have kept him from having just a little time with his wife.

It does not make sense because we are watching 45 minutes that cover 72 hours worth of life! It is edited to lead us along and see only what Mark Burnett wants us to see.

My thoughts: Rupert is so upstanding, he will stay true to Rob/Amber and his alliance with Jenna. The four of them really believe they are the final four. Tom is odd man out, and Jenna would probably jump ship with Rupert to Tom's side if Tom and Rupert got along at all so that the two of them could sway Rupert's sense of loyalty.

I think Rob comes up on a discussion where Rupert is finally entertaining the thought of betraying Rob, or just listening to Jenna yap about it.

Rob could conceivably go to Tom and make the three votes to oust Rupert this next week, although my gut is leaning toward Jenna. She's driving them crazy.

Interesting...........I meant to list that as one of the reasons I thought they might have an alliance. That they did that to avoid any suspicion. Let's face it, had they picked each other, even we would be buzzing with speculation.

It still makes absolutely no sense to me that a bunch of (relatively) smart people, all of whom have played the game before, would willing go into the last weeks with a rock hard alliance of two people. What could they possibly hope to gain from doing that other than third place?

I am going to go see if I can find that spoiler board and see what people are saying over there.

Tom is now in the swing vote position. Jenna/Rupert alliance, and Rob/Amber. DemonLlama - I think you're right - if Jenna and Rupert join Tom, then Rob/Amber would be in big trouble.
However, remember Tom hates Jenna, so I'm not sure that is likely to happen. I think that is what Rupert was talking to Tom about in the preview.
However, if Tom goes with Amber/Rob instead then it would be most likely that they will be the final two. Rob said to his brother that he is not taking Tom.
Again, it will depend on who gets immunity.......next week should be interesting.

DH recorded Survivor for me while I had a fun time eating out with my co-workers. This episode was a tearjerker - as the family member episodes always are. I somehow missed the part, however, about Rupert's wife climbing up him!! Also, for whoever asked, an interesting thing that happened in that challenge was Jenna's brother doing so well until he took a sip of water WHILE eating! Jeff called him on it and the brother said no, that was never mentioned as being a no-no. Of course it was a no-no and he was out!

I am still rooting for Rob. However, I would not mind Amber or Rupert winning. Do not want Tom or especially Jenna winning!!

It will be interesting to hear why Tom, Rupert and Jenna kept Rob and Amber around so long. I hope that the Early Show host asks them that question. He asked Shii Ann and she had no idea why they did. And I hope that they don't give the dumb answer "Well, you see, I thought we had an alliance.". I don't remember if Alicia was asked that question or not.

The way I see it, they do know Rob has had some power and decided not to vote against him up until this point. There were too many variables to try to organize a coup when they had 7 or 8 people still on board. But now that they have made it this far, it's the perfect time for the other three to try to overthrow Rob.

That's been my theory up until this point, but if Rupert or Jenna wins immunity next week, and they do not take out Rob, they are darn fools. They've allowed their alliance with Rob to get them this far, but it would be foolish to push it any further.

That said, I think Shii-Ann was absolutely right - I knew whose name she was planning to write down. Amber is riding on Rob's coattails all the way through, without making anyone angry at her (except Kathy). If it came down to Rob vs. Amber, she might think she has a good chance of beating him out.

As in all past Survivor episodes, there will be some surprises prior to the final 2. I don't think it will be either Amber or Rob that makes it. Maybe I'm just hoping for an unusual twist--but there's things going on behind the scenes with Tom and Rupert that I believe haven't been edited in yet. Tom isn't as dumb as he is made out to be and may be playing the best game of them all. And if Rupert can start winning immunities, he will be in.

This has turned out to be a good installment for the show. Rob and Amber's "strength" is just too obvious and too dependent on Rob now winning every single immunity that's left. That's going to be tough to do.

Alicia said she was alone (well, with Sue) from the beginning because she did not trust Rob to be the leader. That's why he said what he did when he voted her off. (Something like "I've been waiting to do this since day 3") Rob has voted off all of the people who don't trust and follow him.

I was just reading your comments everyone and while I agree that I don't think the remaining group left are using their brains, I personally think they should have voted off Amber. That way if Rob goes to the end it won't be with her! Perhaps this would also mess Mister Rob up some and they might actually feel like he isn't controlling the whole thing.JMO

They aren't smart enough to do that, especially Tom. And, people wouldn't be suspicious if Tom picked Rupert because everyone knew he wanted to see his wife and some were even telling Tom to pick him. It disgusts me how stupid the remaining players of
Survivor ALL STAR are.

Yesterday I surfed around reading other Survivor boards. It is interesting to note that they have a very different take on events.

I think that it would be smart on Tom or Ruperts part to take Rob or Amber to the final 2. Who would really vote for Rob or Amber over Tom or Rupert? The only person who miight have a hard time is Jenna
and Amber in the final two because they both have been riding coat tails.

Rob would be most likely to start a fight between the two in order to take the heat off himself. Everyone can see he is a threat, but no on eseems to be able to make anything happen. And they are afraid of getting caught plotting, thereby gaining the vote from Rob / Amber.

I really can envision Rob and Amber in the final three, with someone else (Jenna?) winning that last immunity. I guessed Jenna because I really think Tom is not going to be able to break up the two couples as voting blocks and he will be gone next. If he can, then he still will be out 4th. If so, and R/A can win the next immunity, niether one will want to keep Rupert around because he would get all the jury votes. If it's Tom, they still would prefer Jenna who has alienated more people than genial Tom. If Jenna manages to pull off that last immunity, would she want Rob (who everyone hates but admires for his control of the game) or Amber (who everyone likes but thinks she rides on coattails).

I have no idea if this will play out, and this isn't spoilers, since I'm just speculating, but if it does happen, who would Jenna pick?

I think Jenna would pick Rob, because several people HATE him...I think people would vote for Jenna because although they think she's annoying, she hasn't manipulated and lied as much as Rob to get ahead in the game.
