Survivor 49 - Watching? Thoughts?

I am actually cheering for Rizzo now. When the cast members have opportunities to vote out someone with an idol and don't, I feel like it serves them right if he goes to the end. He also started fabricating things to take the heat off of him, which is at least playing the game. Then at tribal, he sat there and did not play that idol, knowing full well that so many people have gone home with an idol in their pocket. He is outwitting them for now. We'll see what happens.

I’ve always been rooting for him. Despite the fact I yelled at the tv because they foolishly didn’t vote him out, I’ve always liked him. He’s cocky, but likeable to me. I’d love to see him turn on Savannah.

I don't really like any player enough to want them to win this season. I don't have a strong dislike for any player either though some are unlikeable to me I just don't have strong enough feelings of that dislike.

I kinda miss that in old seasons the knowledge of an idol was much more secretive and less known. I know over time it became a symbol of trust like if I tell you I have an idol I'm trusting you with this knowledge but now it's so out there when someone has it that it's less of a powerplay than it used to be when that happened in the long ago seasons. I don't want them to go away but clearly subterfuge with this is not used very much these days.

I do wish that Jake had been able to play for longer. I think his strength but also kind nature would have been interesting to see in the game. His strength his weakness but I would have liked to have seen how he worked had he made it post-merge with the group as they are.
