Survivor 32- Beauty vs Brains vs Brawn

I thought his advantage was to change a vote. I could be wrong. I suspect he won't get around to using it though.

Yeah, he is really not doing anything...at all. Not even any dialogue. He's barely hanging in.

Smart move would have been to vote Tai, esp since he didn't play the II.

When Tai asked Aubry if he should play the idol during voting, she should have said something like, "Maybe you should just to be safe." When they get back to camp, she could then say she is so sorry, she just didn't want to see him get blind-sided. Alliance maintained and idol gone...

Actually, I expected him to play it, since she told him to go with his gut.

Jason sure looks like a man drowning out of water. I love it!

Maybe he watched the show and thought he should enter and surprise, he got picked. Survivor does like police officers and firefighters, and Joe is FBI. If Joe does go in the finals, he will probably say, I was no one's enemy. A few Survivor winners went all the way under the radar.

They do like to cast people from those professions but Joe must have been a real dud. He doesn't get as much as a sentence at Tribal, very few of those one on one with the camera talks, does nothing in the challenges and is never included in any of the strategic discussions they show. I'm guessing the producers regretted his casting.

Honestly, 71 is probably too old. Maybe 60 but not 71. My inlaws are that age and my mom is 68 and no way could they hack it out there. We have trouble and have to take it slow and easy at WDW and try to keep in air conditioning and not walk so much. I can't image how far gone they'd be if they were also being starved at WDW like these guys are on Survivor.

My prediction is Tai uses idol next vote (they are at 6 now, right?). That brings him to final 5, which is the last time he can use the extra vote. At extra vote, all he needs is ONE other person to vote with him, and he can force at least an extra vote for final 4. After that, all bets are off. He's got nothing to lose to play it this way. Play the idol next week "no matter what" and then the extra vote.

(Does anyone know whether he gets to invalidate a vote, and then cast one?....I seem to recall that's how it worked last time....he gets to say "Joe doesn't vote, and I cast his for him.")

Yep she blew a golden opportunity. May come back to bite her in the bottom

See, that's what I thought it said when he read the paper. So essentially he's changing 1 person's vote.

There has been no mention that is how it would work but even if it did, it would be before the votes were read so he couldn't use it to change a vote after the outcome is known.

Yeah, I am wondering why Debbie is laying low in the last 2 Ponderosas. Wonder if she initially was over the top and they firmly told her to chill (now that they aren't playing to win they don't have to play nice with her anymore). Or the camera men could be avoiding her so as not to fan the flames so to speak.

Whew! I thought Tai was going home for sure! I liked Julia and I would have preferred to see Jason go home but I guess that Julia, with one immunity and almost a second immunity, was a bigger threat. They can pick off Jason at their leisure or keep him around for final 3.

What's up with Cynthia's game? How many times has she told someone she was voting with them only to vote with someone else? She's a sly one, that's for sure.

I was looking at the Survivor Wiki (http://survivor.wikia.com/wiki/Survivor:_Kaôh_Rōng) and I find it interesting that there are 2 members of each original tribe remaining and 3 members of each of the intermediary tribes.

I know it is all editing, but Jeff doesn't even ask him questions at Tribal. The most interaction he had this show, was Jeff confirming that Joe was quitting the challenge. Usually Jeff screams at people to never quit. Something is not quite right about the whole situation.

I am sort of sad to see Julia voted out.

Jeff will generally always have positive things to say about the players. Here is what he recently said about Joe:

"Joe was an instant 'yes' when we met him in casting. Very few people in their 70s can get out there and play Survivor. We’ve had two: Rudy Bosch in season 1 and Joe in season 32. I have been absolutely blown away by Joe. He’s a really amazing example of what is possible when you really want something. He has lived his life with adventure as a theme. He goes after what he wants. He wanted Survivor, he went for it, and he got it. To survive these conditions at any age is hard – just ask Aubry – and Joe is thriving. He may not be as malleable as some, he may not be as physical as some, but he’s in this game, and he’s got a vote – and that’s more than the majority of the players who started this game can say.

I do want to be clear: I don’t appreciate Joe only because he’s older. He has a great spirit. I think he is a good person who looks out for others. Yes, his age plays a part in his performance, but that’s expected. It would be a shame if people just saw him as the 'older, gray-haired gentlemen in great shape.' What I think Joe offers is a reminder that you MUST go for what inspires you. You MUST seek the adventures that are calling you. Joe did, and we are all so grateful."

It's great that he is going for it but if he's in the game why is his edit showing him doing just about nothing? If by being in the game, JP means he is still able to vote, I don't think that is much of a game.

Agree. He seemed to do well in the reward challenge. I'm not sure why he doesn't get much of an edit. Maybe they just have enough material with the many big personalities and intrigue going on this season...

I thought it was kind of strange when Joe stopped trying in the immunity challenge. I mean, you might know you're not up to winning, but at least keep trying for goodness sakes!

He's 71 though, probably more active than a lot of people that age. I think Rudy from Season 1 was in his early 70's too and did pretty well.

I was hoping Jason would go last night. Scott still looked pretty angry, in fact to me he looked downright evil. :scared: It will be interesting to see what he has to say by the time the jury can speak.
