Hi Guys

Off to Orlando in 7 weeks (yippee!!) and looking for a couple of new things to keep our 3 year old happy for an hour or so on our free days. Staying off site in a villa so would probably combine with a trip to Downtown Disney.

We've been told about the Surrey bikes at The Boardwalk and wondered if any of you guys have hired them and if so were they good/worth the money?

Thanks :thumbsup2

yes we have done them, you get around 3 laps around the boardwalk depending on how fast you pedal!!! there were 7 of us, never laughed so much:lmao:

I've never been on them at the BW but we hired one at POR and had great fun, my 4 year old loved sitting in the front seat ringng the bell.

Hired them a few years back and it was a real struggle trying to get up the hill but it was great fun.

We hired a 4-seater in December 2005 and did about 3 'laps' of the Epcot resorts :) It was a good laugh.

Most of it is flat, but the 'hills' going over the bridges are a killer!

In December it was quite a cool evening so it was quite nice peddling round, but not sure I would fancy it in the warmer times of year.

We used them a few weeks ago they were brill! Our kids who are 5&2 really enjoyed it

lol you do need to pick up speed before the hill or you dont get up it, youll roll back , and if like us will need some friendly onlookers to push you while u die of embarssment:rolleyes1

The hills are not too bad we were just laughing so much :rotfl: we managed to pedal ourselves tho

Considering the above, it makes you wonder where the Photopass photogaphers are at moments like this .... ;)

in my defense we did have 2 children not pulling there weight in the back....and the laughing didnt help..:rotfl:

I'm so pleased to hear it wasn't just us who struggled with the hill! :rotfl:

They are good fun, my DD was 3 at the time and loved ringing the bell at passers by :)

I agree with Netty as I was one of the 7 on board........it was one of the most memorable things we have done whilst away, and this will be my 14th trip......go do it, but dont run anyone over, or go fast around the bends!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

and 'Mind the Grass' !!!
