Surrey Bikes @ Boardwalk Inn?

I have a couple of questions about the Surrey bikes at the Boardwalk Inn.

1. Does anyone know if there is a total weight limit for a 4 person surrey bike or is there a weight limit for one person to get on a surre bike?

2. Can you rent these when it is dark?

We'll be going down in December and I thought it would be nice to ride one before we went to Spoodles for Dinner. We would probably need to rent one around 6:00 PM and I know in December it will be dark at that time.

Don't know about the weight...we saw some folks with surreys that were pretty full. Yes you can ride in the dark. We had ours from about 9:15-9:45 pm.

Just so you know it's pretty hard. I was suprised by how hard it was to get up the 2 hills. Of course that was with 2 kids not pedalling (but there were 3 adults who were supposed to be pedalling). It was great fun though!!

I agree with perpetualplanner. We rented them with 3 adults and going up those hills is hard. You really need to pedal. It is alot of fun though. Just watch out for people.

...you might also investigate the surrey bikes at Coronado Springs. We spent about a half hour peddling around in 'em last Thanksgiving. It's a lotta fun, and it's a lot flatter than the BW area.

Just did the bike ride on Friday June 10th. Hours that day were 10AM to 10 PM. Stipulations were driver 18 or older, no alcohol, stay on Boardwalk. $20 for 30 minutes, takes about 15 minutes to make a lap 7/8 of a mile around lake. Had 2 adults, teenager, and 7 YOA in front bench seat. That last hill is hard getting up, especially if you are the only one pedaling. Alot of fun though, glad we did it. DD loved ringing the warning bell.

We enjoyed the surrey bikes at WL. We rode into FW and around to the petting zoo. Great fun

IMO, I wouldn't worry about the hills. You might be fine, and if not, there are only two, most of the trail is flat. Also, what's the big deal if you had to jump off and push? You'll never see the people watching you again. Just have the driver put the brake on and everybody jump off. Reapply the brake at the top and everyone jump back on. You can see I've done this.

If you time it right, you can watch Illuminations from the top of the first hill heading toward Epcot and YCBC.
